Mostly off-topic (although we spend a small fortune on cat food so at least slightly related to CC spending; and tagging
@amalone1013 since I think this might be related to her work): DH and I are having a disagreement about how we should store the dry cat food (yes, this is a hot topic in our household).
One of us says we should keep it in the bag in came in, which has a velcro strip at the top of the bag to reseal it once it's open. The person advocating this position says the food will stay fresh longer this way. The other of us says we should store the cat food in an airtight plastic food container with a pop-up kind of lid so that it's easier to dispense and looks neater in the pantry. This person would concede that we should keep it in the bag if it really does stay fresher that way, but is not convinced that the velcro strip is better than the plastic container.
So, does anyone here know what is the best way to store dry cat food?
