@Judique and @3 DD love princesses are exactly right; you use the credits for check in date (I used mine for early lunch at Garden Grill even before checking in at BLT) to check out date at midnight (last one was Artist Point after already checked out of BLT and checked into VGF). The nice thing was you also get the refillable mug but it is good for the entire trip. Using 6 snacks in 48 hours was a bit of a struggle and I ended up being lame and using the last credit for a bottled water. The math works really well if you have a child and if just one night, more than one night and/or more adults it does not work as well. I used the Distripplanner site to figure it out. As far as the AP discount you can still use that for the the other nights. And don’t forget that even on the pre-booked and paid for meals you can ask for the AP discount to be applied. I did that at both Hoop de Doo and Cinderella’s Royal Table (discount for HDDR which we used on Tuesday night actually posted today).

I think switching hotels sounds like a lot of fun especially when you can get a taste of such awesome ones.

What is the AmEx Lowe’s deal? I only see an additional MR point at Lowe’s as an offer on my Plat but I don’t think that’s enough to get this group excited lol.

It was really fun changing rooms! It was also nice to not worry about towels etc. The Lowes deal was on the Amex business cards and came out earlier this year. It was such a good deal 10% off purchases up to $1000 but can be used on different trips. Keep a look out for it again!

Howdy all. Just got approved for a Delta Amex Gold and a Delta Amex Business Gold. 120,000 sky pesos. Any tips or tricks to try and rack up Delta points? Delta is the main carrier at our airport so since I had room for a couple of cards I thought I'd play with them a bit.

You can link your Skymiles to Lyft and get some extra that way. Also the usual Amex self referrals and with P2 if you have one. As @speedyfishy pointed out you can get the Delta Platinum personal and business as well. I would wait though since you want to do it when bonus is at a higher level than it is now.

Yes. I’ve used the credit on slices of cheesecake, which usually runs a little under $10. I always just tip the difference and bring it to $10. The credit applied in full just fine when the charge finally posted with the tip included.

Saw Aladdin earlier. It was really good. The costumes are great, it should, I hope at least get an Oscar nom for them. Bit of a change in the story from the animated and I think stage but since I've only seen the stage once I can't quite remember. It's a good compliment to the other two but not as good as the stage show. Though the beginning of the movie is awesome.

I saw it tonight too and 100% agree! I was hoping they’d do some of the stage show songs, but they all sounded great. I thought Will Smith was fantastic considering the very big shoes he had to fill.

I think the one thing that would have made me like it more was more songs, I felt like there weren't enough. Though if it's not a musical I can understand why there weren't, but I was expecting between the animated movie and the stage show that there would be more music. I do like the soundtrack though but I've also enjoyed the music for Aladdin, it's got such great instrumental backgrounds.

Update on the continuing saga of the approved but not really approved Barclay Aviator Business MC for DH.

Called again today (after DH was told fraud dept would contact him within 48 hrs which we’re way past) and after listening to hold music for 15 minutes finally connected to a rep. She said we needed to provide articles of incorporation or tax documents. DH asked to speak to a supervisor and when connected was told that same thing. He asked several times if personal returns were acceptable and they couldn’t give him a straight answer. I’m more than annoyed with this (and so is DH). I guess we’ll attempt to fax in the returns and his license and see where we get. He also had the supervisor lodge a formal complaint about the absolute lack of communication. Other than the card being declined when attempting to use we’ve had 0 communication. No calls, emails or letters in the mail.

This is exactly what happened to me on the phone with them. I also kept asking for supervisors or anyone in the department that could give me actual answers to what they wanted, and got no where. It's so ridiculous. Hope you get a response after you fax in. After I faxed in and called to check on it as I was told to do, I was then told that them telling me to fax was wrong and that I had to email instead. I'm still waiting to hear back after emailing in my personal tax returns. My online account still lets me log in. I've also received no communication from them other than the phone calls that I initiated after having my card declined. All so very frustrating.
