And this is European soccer erm football, not even American soccer. Tottenham vs Liverpool. Which is unusual as it’s the first all English final since 2008. First ever for Tottenham. Now that I’ve bored you to death.

I can't imagine your DS will be the only person on the ship desperate to see that game. We have done all kinds of crazy things to see important matches while on vacation - ipads in unlikely places, bars at 8am, if the game is big enough, there is usually a way to see it.

And, I'm sorry if your DS is a Tottenham fan, but I've got to root for Liverpool - they've had such an amazing run (and in any other year would have won the Premier League) :P

Congratulations!

And you know I'm always :magnify:.

Thanks for the thoughts :grouphug:So I'm potentially planning an extended fam trip for next spring to Universal- I'd like to help light a path to savings for a week onsite stay. For those of you who've done well with this, I'm trying to lay out what I can recall reading here-
UR for tix,and hotel,SWA or JB for flights
Pending what I see when I see their cc from past 24 mos. etc, I was going to recommend a 2P game for them, starting with either CSP or CIP? and b/c I think they're gonna need a SWA cp, can someone help me with order of importance, start with SWA or Chase apps? Each fam group going is going to need a chunk of UR to do this.(We can do biz apps too) I'm calculating about 300k UR for the largest family in our group+the SWA points.

Actual pic of the new Apple Card: https://twitter.com/BenGeskin/status/1127319394542063616?s=19

shared from r/churning.

ETA:
Again, if you're pulling out the physical card to pay, you're earning only 1% cash back; but hey, you get to look cool, right?

The Apple Card earns 2% cash back when used in Apple Pay, but then it's just a nifty graphic in a digital wallet or a token being transmitted between servers.

Oh, and there's no SUB.

What are your actual dates?

Flights for spring 2020 on SW are likely going to be released between July and September of this year. The next SW release on June 20 takes us out through early January 2020 (so you can see how flights through March/Apr/May could be released quickly thereafter). If you're traveling during the busy spring break period, you probably will want to jump on those flights quickly.

Why are you advocating for a SW Companion Pass? Do these people fly often? If this would be the only flight where they'd use the Companion Pass, it could be overkill to focus on it out of the gate (considering it requires 2 cards and additional MSR).

I think for anybody to give good advice we'd probably need to understand each of the following items:
  • Exact Travel Dates
  • Makeup of each family unit (# of adults, # of children per family unit)
  • What City (or cities) would they be traveling from
  • Are you all planning to pool and share points or does each family unit need to earn their own way with their own cards
  • Regarding the CP, do any of these families travel via SW at other times in the next 18 months or would this be their only flight?
  • When you say "we can do biz apps" do you mean that EVERY adult is willing to pursue a biz card and can claim a qualifying biz activity? I never like the word "we" in this stuff because sometimes "we" means certain people and not all people, lol!
It might be hard for you to give "one size fits all" advice to your family. Each of them might get their own set of instructions based on their specific situation. The good news is, if you hold a CSP and CIP you could get a lot of support points out of this!! :)

REMINDER: Today is the last day of Ebates' anniversary 15% cash back promo. Many stores have already stopped offering 15% cash back (e.g., Saks, ShopDisney), but there are still a few that might be worth checking out (e.g., eBags, Macy's, Dell, full list here).

In a moment of indecision I bought 5 tickets. I hope they don’t have to be used all at once. If so, then I guess we can all go to Williamsburg again. We love it there and haven’t been in awhile. If not we can use 2 or 3 this trip for Tampa if DS and I go and then have 2 or 3 for another trip.

I consider the VA park pretty shady. Is theTampa Park not like that?

I'm just catching up, so I'm not sure if anyone has answered this - but the Tampa BG has plenty of shade. There are several areas and exhibits that you can duck into also, as well as an ice skating show :goodvibes

We watched the Elite 8 West Virginia vs Kentucky on a ship in 2010. Not going to lie, I was a little scared. lol We were the only WVU fans and a whole lotta drunk UK fans. We just quietly exited when we won.

We were at that game! (Not because we root for either team, it was in the Dome!). We always root AGAINST Kentucky!

In the world of things I didn't think about, CFU's are Visa Signature cards and need a 5k limit to PC to them. I just called to PC my CSP but I had dropped the limit to 4k when doing one of my credit shuffles. So I credit shuffled 1k off my Disney Visa to bring it back up to 5k and PC'd away. I don't know why it didn't occur to me since my CF is a Signature, I guess I just assumed if it had a Platinum option that $500 would be the min and didn't really think of the pesky details.

She did tell me the expiration date and CVV will change so I wonder how long my pretty metal card will actually work after the new one comes? Has that always been the case or is this part of their new anti-fraud measures?

Ebags at 20% :faint:

I officially received my Motherlode Jr for Mom's Day and my teen was all over it - already planning to borrow it for an upcoming trip. So I could just buy another one...

@*WDW*Groupie* I ordered 2 pairs of Vionic sandals last week when Shoes.com was 15% on ebates. Of course they are now 20% on ebates! So if you never got around to ordering some, check now. Mine will be delivered later this week, I hope I like them.

ETA Now I am wondering if the 20% off are targeted

Lucky you! The 20% seems to be targeted. No luck here.
