Interesting. I didn't know why the funding was so poor here. Just knew it was and yes, that the schools are starving :( If you are in Boulder, then yeah, you guys have some of the best schools in the state. You are by far, the exception and not the norm here.

Love Boulder! Big sis went to CU, omg the times we had! :ssst:

Need some input on the best way to do disney next year for a week on points. Have about 300k UR points and a CSR but looks like that plan is basically over, thanks chase. I would love to do free dining next year as I have about $1500 in gift cards saved up and would just book disney direct at that point. If no free dining, I'm thinking a disney springs area hotel for the perks, maybe hilton and try to get gold status for free breakfast. Best way to get a bunch of points to cover it? Any alternative ideas? Maybe swan, dolphin and how to go about? I'd have no problem spending 4-5k for msr. Thanks

You could also look at the hotels in the bonnet creek area....we booked the Wyndham Bonnet creek...they have studio, 1br, 2br etc villas....parking is included....just booked it again with my CSR 8 nights 5/25-6/2...2br villa was 133k URs....

DH and I are hanging at MIA after 4 great days at Miami Beach on his work awards trip :) We’re going to get some dinner in a bit at a PP restaurant. Plus, our flight home was oversold so we took voluntary bumps for $1K vouchers each on American :woohoo:

Nice....our flights are never oversold when we are able to take advantage of getting vouchers

Was thinking about bonnet creek area but am hesitant because of the lack of 60 day fastpass window? Or am I mistaken?

That I’m not sure about....I remember reading something about bonnet creek being added to the 60 day fastpass window... but don’t know if it’s all resorts or when it starts

Dh got his flight details today for his interview!! It’s gonna be a little rough for him because our band plays until 1 am and we have a 2 1/2 hour drive home. Then his flight leaves out of a different city an hour away at 12 pm. Luckily it’s a small airport and his interview isn’t until the next day. He won’t get back home until the next day at 11 pm or later

I'd book a room close to the airport and forget about driving 2.5.

On the way home from Hawaii last summer they needed volunteers to bump. They were offering $800. I wanted to bump---we would have been on the next flight 2 hours later. DH refused. He's very much against bumping. It would have been $4000 for our family. I'm still angry about it!

Then we arrived in Dallas and our flight was delayed and delayed and delayed.....we would have gotten home faster had we bumped!

Dr. Phillips is pretty nice. It's a bit built up, but I had a coworker who lived there on a pretty big piece of land so I guess it has a lot of variety haha. I used to stop at run errands in that area on my way home from work when I worked off Sand Lake.
I've got 5 houses saved to the left of Dr. Phillips Blvd. They're all right in the same area, right under Palm Lake. Then I've got some saved by Maguire Rd to the south of the Florida Turnpike. I'm just about to start looking at the Whispering Oak area. Looks like quite a few houses there. Thanks for all of your help by the way!

The airport isn't in the same town as our gig and we have to take all of the band equipment home anyway. Dh and I drive together with our band equipment and he said he's fine with it since his interview isn't until 3 pm the day after he lands.

Hm. My Barclay is still Pending and I have 2 personals since June I think. It doesn’t seem like a lot to me!
I know, excessive?! I thought taking out 4-5 cards per year is considered a slow churner, I guess not for Barclays! I just don't know when I will have less than 5 cards in that time frame. And even if I would have 4, do I take the chance again and end up wasting another hard pull? Well, mine went to denial the next day so at least there's still hope for you! Hopefully it's just verification.

For those who don't care about poorly flipped houses, so they can easily skip this

This whole thing just makes me so angry and rant-y, not only because DH and I would prefer doing the work/updates ourselves, but also for the people who run into problems down the line because the people who flipped their house did a terrible job. My cousin and his wife are like the poster children for this so far.

Here's the gap along the back of the counter. It's tile all the way up so I don't know what they can do, other than maybe a big line of caulking to fill it. It's because the old counter was actually to big, so the people CUT THE DRYWALL OUT. That is not right guys!! And they even cut a couple studs to force it to fit! :furious:

Cabinet doesn't line up with soffet. This is an old one, so the new cabinet here doesn't stick out in front of the one to the right, they line up now. But that means that not only does the cabinet still not line up under the soffet, the soffet now sticks out like 8in past the top of the cabinet.

And their baseboard is all crazy. This would drive me completely nuts, personally, but they've never brought it up and I'm not mentioning since it's just a cosmetic thing. But their house has A LOT of stairs, like kind of an excessive amount. And the baseboards don't match, like most is just rectangular (honestly I didn't know you could buy it like that, I kind of thought the flippers just painted their own boards and stuck them on there...) but there is some that has the rounded top. And it's not cut to the stairs (I've only seen it run at an angle up the stairs, or just no baseboard). But most of all it's not done all the same on all the stairs! And since there are a lot of stairs and they are close together, I think it makes it even more noticeable.

That's one doityourselfer type job! Looks like the person didn't know how to lay carpet and then tried to hide the rough edges.

I'm betting Monday. I don't think Barclay works on weekends lol!
Hah prob not! I’m hoping if it was denial i would have heard yesterday. I hate waiting!
