Lol this is so true. I've heard so many kids at Disney complain to their parents and say all they want to do is go back and swim
My kid has never wanted to “go back” to Swim, but he will beg in the morning, or when we pass the pool, to go swimming. But it’s not instead of parks, just in addition. We usually go swimming once each trip. I’m not even sure why DS wants to swim on vacation when he never wants to swim during the summer at home (last year, day camp included swimming 2 days per week and he always complained those days)

My friends are taking their 5 year old for the first time next month. He is absolutely obsessed with trains and always has been. All toys are trains, there are no hobbies but trains, he is a walking shrine to Thomas. Funnily enough, he doesn't really care about riding on trains, he just likes watching them. I get the feeling they're going to spend a good chunk of time at MK just watching the train haha.
This was DS when he was little. He did like riding the train as well as watching them, in person or on YouTube. He even has a coffee cup he insisted on buying at Target when he was about 4. It’s one of those initial cups. We kept telling him he could get one with a C or W (his first and last initials ) but he insisted he wanted the T for train. He loved the train around MK on our first trip. It has been closed every time we’ve been back since then.

That's what we're talking about. People are getting 2 and 3 CIPs using just their SSN in a year. No waiting, no 24 months...just reapply. Most seem to close the first one, I think I've also seen some where they left it open. They're just brazenly getting another one, and Chase is allowing, nay supporting it!

Seriously. The latest DPs suggest you don’t even need to add, omit, or change your middle initial/name; just use the same name on apps #1, #2, #3...! Folks are getting approved for two or more CIP within 24 months, using the same name and SSN, on self-referrals.

Yes and plenty. You can get another CIP within 24 months even if you still have an open CIP, both under SSN. I’ve been compiling DPs on the Two CIPs with SSN (No EIN) thread on DISchurners. Latest DPs show bonuses posting.

Oh my goodness!! I'm in CC overload. I'm trying to finish up dd's CIP and my new Barclay AA biz and start my dh on the citi grAAvy train and now I am learning he can get another CIP :crazy2: I promise I have followed the chatter about people getting multiple CIPs but I guess I made the assumption these people all still had one open so I thought dh was out and I'm over 5/24.

Is Venmo officially over for 3x on CIP?

On our trip in October we heard so many kids crying and complaining because they wanted to go back to the room or to the pool

I’m pretty sure I remember you were in the discussions about this. (And did no one other than @3 DD love princesses read my write up on DISchurners?)

Don’t you drop back under 5/24 soon?

Yes, sadly, Venmo earns only 1x on CIP now.
I was in the early discussions but I was going to be under 5/24 soon and my CIP is coming up on 24 mos so I just thought I'd go the close and reapp way. But now I am not going to be under 5/24 as soon and I did read your write up on DISchurners. I promise! I just somehow missed that people who had closed the card and were within 24mos could get another.

DH would be in heaven lol. He is obsessed with anything that moves really. Every theme park we go to I must listen to a lecture on how the rides work, and if it's big like Disney and Uni, how innovative or clever etc it is...

If you want to set up a playdate, let me know. He and my younger ds would have a great time together lol!

I am trying to add a day or to my trip in April so I can take the kids to Legoland - I can get a 2 day ticket for 3 of us for less than 1800 URs!
But Southwest is not cooperating:guilty::sad1: the flights now cost 3000 more points per person and I have used up all my “stash”. I wish I had a fraction of @SouthFayetteFan has!
I did sign up for airhit I think @disneymagicgirl recomended that site before. I am hoping to get luck and they drop the prices!:stir:

You could transfer some URs to SW if you have some extra of those laying around. It is a pretty good value actually.

It may not have been spelled out. It’s definitely evident in the DPs though. Crazy stuff. Can we bring back “CIPpy Cup” to go along with the “grAAvy train?”
I did not read all the DP's. I read some early on when y'all were first posting about it all but none since. I can do 'CIPpy cup'. I'm sure @SouthFayetteFan will cringe though lol!

My BIG redemption before Marriott’s category change tomorrow?

Booked the Residence Inn Anaheim, while it’s still Cat 5 and 35k points, for a quick trip to Disneyland in August to celebrate DD turning 6... and Galaxy’s Edge?! Used 2x 35k FN certs from my SPG Biz and Marriott Biz, and points for the rest.

Interestingly, the SpringHill Suites next door is not going up from Cat 5 to 6, so it should still be bookable at a standard rate of 35k points (and redeemable using the 35k FN certs). We picked the Residence Inn because, I guess, with the impending category change, I felt like I was getting a better value out of being able to book it at 35k/night (eta: even though the cash price was about the same as the SpringHill Suites)?

Yay!
We stayed there last summer and it was really nice!

Dh doesn’t talk about rides much he just really likes looking at trains. His ultimate goal is to program planes or space craft
