@castoral on the SPG/Westin offers I signed up and then did not follow through. My deal was for Arizona. Pretty much the reason I backed out (and forfeited the money) was that when it came down to it they only had certain dates that they said we could book the rooms. If I wanted any other dates there was another charge. There was also a requirement of check in/check out certain dates (days of the week). Our schedule is just tight enough with time off that we did not have the flexibility or patience to play the game. So if you do decide to sign up I would ask questions about dates.

I did put the deposits on the old SPG Lux new Bonvoy Brilliant and it did trigger the $300 credit...for what that’s worth.

I was going to apply for the Barclay Aviator Biz today and was way too busy. I guess I could do it tonight but just tired enough that might make careless mistake. How is it only Tuesday?!? It has already been a long week!

Does anybody know of any points you can use to purchase Hershey Park tickets. (I’m assuming there’s no option but just checking). :)

First time I tried I got an error from Chase that the site couldn't load right now. Second time it did not display Blue Man Group for the individual night I needed.

I just tried the whole week after you mentioned dates, then from that page I was able to filter down to my specific night! Seems like a good deal to me, FREE! :) Thank you!

Ahhh I was trying to price these on Universals site earlier and it wasnt working. DH and I have talked about going

DH says he paid our home phone bill and still has nothing from AMEX. Does this have to be wireless (we have that, too). I just want to make sure he doesn't mess this one up. Anything special he should do before paying the cell bill?

There’s the issue. The home phone bill probably didn’t trigger the offer. The Amex Offer is for “AT&T Wireless for Business,” but paying a personal wireless line works too. My prepayments were towards my personal iPhone wireless line.

Its really high energy and a lot of fun! I've only been in NYC and my family has never been so its nice to try something new. I really love WDW, but we're already doing DAH in MK and all nighttime spectaculars (besides RoL) so it seems like it will be a good choice and change of pace. I even have a 2nd Landry's reward so we might end up at Bubba Gump Shrimp. :thumbsup2

I think a CIU for P1 is a great next move. You are at 2/24 and you have 1 dropping off in 4-5 months, such an amazing spot.

You don’t necessarily need to move on to other issuers ever. Some people like what AMEX and Citi bring to the table, others can be 100% happy with Chase. It really comes down to your preferences AND do you have a viable use for those points.

Have you considered doing a MDD (modified double dip) with CSP & CSR? The $8k MSR would be the potential issue there...but 100k+ URs would be great and you have the 5/24 slots to devote to it.

EDIT: I am super impressed with the cards you’ve gotten and how you’ve spaced them out. You have done a great job!!
Thanks @SouthFayetteFan and thanks for all of the guidance you and others on this board have given me. I honestly haven't considered the MDD (seemed like a more advanced move than I was ready for but I will definitely read up on it on DisChurners) We blow through MSRs pretty quickly so I don't imagine 8k would be a problem. hmm...

Used a good chunk of my URs today for a round trip flight for my college age son to come to Tucson to visit his grandparents (the rest of us will already be there) just for the weekend the end of this month. The amount we’d have had to pay for this ticket in cash would have been more than what we’d have been willing to shell out for just a weekend. The times he was able to be away from school were very limited but I found a flight that worked (on AA) for around 45k UR. If he had all the time in the world to visit I could have gotten a less expensive flight. But I’m so happy he’ll still get to visit with the family for a few days along with us. I’m grateful to everyone on this board for your input on my card choices. Thank you! Our Tucson trip will end up costing us the amount we spend eating out plus the cost of the extra driver fee on our rental car, gas, and that’s pretty much it. Looking forward to some sunshine and warmth in just a few weeks!

Semi-Universal question regarding CC points or discounts. Has anyone purchased Blue Man Group tickets with points of any kind? I really only have TY and UR. I will have to purchase sooner than later since the night I need is less than 30 days out. Wondering if there was a work around like the WDW tickets?

Of course I completely changed my WDW plans significantly and added a night at CityWalk because I was afraid my family would be too "bored" just watching IllumiNations from Crescent Lake. We're already seeing Fantasmic!, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Fireworks, and IllumiNations in Epcot during our BC split.
They were still there for me, searching for dates 3/16-2/23. Here's the link https://travel.chase.com/things-to-do/blue-man-group.a181111.activity-details?srp=true&location=Orlando,+FL+(MCO-Orlando+Intl.)&startDate=2019-03-16&endDate=2019-03-17&hotelId=2935947&pageNumber=1.

ETA: Good to see you got it!

So P2's Fico dropped by 38 points last month after hovering within 5 or 10 points for quite a while. Anyone have any reasons this might happen? Is it something to be worried about. I'm wondering if it has to do with one of the following:

She opened a CIC and spent over half of her CL last month. We don't carry balances but we do wait to pay statement balances around the due date.
Business cards shouldn’t hit it. But did she close any personal cards and/or have increased spending on any personal cards? Such a large movement in my experience is usually attributable to credit usage ratio.

You’re welcome. You did seem like a prime MDD candidate given the organic spending you have to support it. You could potentially go MDD now or if you go with a CIU in March you’d probably want to wait another 3 months before attempting it (so maybe July would be best). You could of course get a P2 card in between there.

Do you have any interest in our obsession with AA miles? That could be a way to slow your Chase roll too since there are 2 AA BIZ cards out there with nice offers.

...Following along since Chase didn't exactly give me a big credit line for the CIP that's on its way. I think it was 5K, but after the almost 2 hours on the phone with them I honestly can't remember.
My dad ended up with 5k on his new UA Biz Card after dropping his other lines by 30k and not changing his income. Chase is tightening up.

Just had to share this story with my mom for y'all:

I texted her tonight to tell her to start looking at Disney restaurants since we're coming up on 180 days(!!). I told her we were planning to eat lunch at BOG and our fancy dinner would be at California Grill. She told me that she remembered eating a really good steak at a restaurant in the Contemporary but didn't know the name of the place. I figure it can't have been anywhere but Cali Grill, but I didn't remember going there. She said this would've been in 1995 and I didn't go because I loved the babysitting place at Wilderness Lodge so much that I cried to go there and play instead :rotfl2: There you have it, folks. You take your kid to Disney World, put her up in a deluxe hotel and offer her a steak dinner, and she just wants to go to the babysitter.

We were at Aulani last summer and it was my DS’s 7th birthday. We had bought him (as the rest of us) a swim with the dolphins package at Sea Life Park. He cried because he wanted to spend his birthday at Auntie’s beach house. If I hadn’t had prepaid those Go Oahu cards, I would have been more accommodating. He ended up going to auntie’s later that evening, instead of spending his birthday with us!

This is me, except I'm the one who can't commit...:faint:
I hear you. If it wasn’t for churning and various programs drastically changing I wouldn’t do anything. I only got the SPG cards because they were going away. I only bought the AS travel package from Marriott with the points because it was going away. I booked the coolest trip I could think of in a moment of sheer insanity with those points thinking these points are gonna expire anyway! Apparently FOMO is the only thing that gets commitment out of me.

FYI: rteetz who mods the rumors board is pretty down on this rumor

He indicates a mid-November opening is more likely and that July previews are a somewhat ridiculous idea (ie highly unlikely). Perhaps WDWNT is jumping the gun here...

I'd be really happy if it is mid November. TSL opening weekend in August was hot and July would be just as hot. Looking forward to the official announcement.

My ds7 is perfectly content to just ride the monorail, boats and buses. We could literally get away with no parks with him lol. My others are not okay skipping the parks but we do build in lots of pool time.
My son favorite ride was the BUS!:moped: Really he would be happy riding the bus to the parks and go back to the hotel and go to the pool :confused3:rotfl:. He talked so much about that I decided to book AKL instead of BLT so he could get tons of bus rides!
