You log in to your bank during sign up...yes.

ETA: oh wait, I thought u meant to link credit cards.
I can’t remember what I did for cashing out.
So you have to login to link credit cards? Unlike RMN or Dosh where you just add a card?

Those are pretty much the only channels i watch as well :) My dh & I went to Baylor, which is in Waco, and we liked living there. However, back then, Chip and Joanna hadn't revolutionized the town yet and made it 'cool'. There was really no industry so everyone graduated and headed either to Dallas or Houston (Few went to Austin but it was much smaller then). I would love to have settled in Waco. If we move back to TX ever, the Waco/Temple area is where we'd hope to be.
.
Have you been to the Silos? Is it worth visiting despite the crowds? Sorry, I meant to type Baylor instead of Waco. That's neat that you went there. I've heard good things about the school, although I also heard it was pricey. Are you a college basketball fan? After the NFL it's my favorite! Looks like my Jayhawks streak might be over this year in the Big 12. :sad2:

We were going to go but decided against it after our friends who live down there told us how bad the crowds are. We only had a Saturday we could go and it just didn't seem worth it to us. I think if you could go on a weekday, it could be worth it. Not sure how much more has opened. When we were going to go, a lot hadn't opened yet so no good way to spread the crowds out.

I'm not near as big of a fan of college basketball as I am of the NFL but I'll watch some MM :)

Baylor is so $$. I had scholarships and tons of grants/gov't loans because my mom was single and made very little money. I still came out with tons of debt as did my dh. Absolutely loved going there though and wish my kids could go too!

I have a question about airport lounges. We have the Priority Pass. When we fly into LAX from Tokyo we have about 5 hours before our flight to get back home. Can we still use the Star Alliance lounge since we flew in with ANA or will we need to use a different lounge?

This sounds kinda like a Disney Bus Driver rumor..."a person I know in a facebook group heard a rumor from a banker who received an email from corporate"...

Maybe it's true...but in my experience banks don't communicate major changes to low-level branch folk until they're ready to release the changes ASAP. I'm a pretty important person in commercial banking and can tell you that I do not get ANY early heads up on stuff like this, lol! (EDIT: I could be wrong but it would seem stupid to me for Chase to release info like this to branch employees - they could basically tell them the morning of their shift when they make the change)

Link for those that care to read the hype and speculation: https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/ax5xju/discussion_thread_march_04_2019/ehtf22y/

That is a GREAT point that we haven't necessarily advised recently...

If you have Ultimate Rewards scattered across multiple cards and spouses...it is ALWAYS recommended to consolidate them to your most valuable card: (i.e. CSR would be first priority, otherwise either CSP or CIP). This is recommended because IF Chase ever ended points pooling across spouses OR points pooling between cards, you'd at least have your points where you wanted them. We'd expect Chase to give notice if this change were to occur but it takes 2 minutes to pool points when they post so better safe than sorry.

I just did this. I had booked myself and DS to Denver the day the flights opened up. This was before I had the CCs let alone a CP. I wanted to make sure to get him a seat. Just earned the CP. Since it was on the same reservation as me, I called in. The CSR checked there were still open seats and then cancelled his and added him as my companion. I also had another flight where I was smarter and had him booked separately. On that one, I first added him as my companion and then cancelled the other flight. Full disclosure DS is now 21 (can hardly believe that, I am feeling old) so he is an adult and easy to book a separate ticket for.
Thanks! I am booking everyone separately, my youngest will be 13 (hitting another kid milestone this year). I finally got a chance to talk to DH about it, he's the one actually stressing me about it. I think we're going to go ahead and CP them for this trip, then plan our getaway for after this. It's not ideal because I wanted to do our trip sooner, before my DD1 moves out, but it will probably be easiest. Hopefully DS1 will stationed nearby and can spend the weekend with his sibs. Otherwise, my sister will be more than happy to come stay with them.

You get 3 changes per year. So Dh will assign DD2, we'll go to Hawaii. We get back and he'll make me his CP, we'll take a trip. Then he'll switch back to DD2 for 2020.
I'll assign DS2, we'll go to Hawaii. If we do a weekend away in 2020, I'll switch to DH, then back to DS2.

Since I don't have my CP, I'll probably go ahead and grab DS2 tickets to/from Hawaii until mine posts. I'm sure the flights from/to Austin will be fine. My CP should be next week.

DW got approved for the CIC! When “she” applied on Saturday I got the “we need more time to review your application” message, but when I called the status line this morning it said she was approved.

I read some chat up thread about people not being able to fund a bank account with a biz card, but it wasn’t a Chase card. Does anyone know if you can bank account fund with Chase biz cards? Or is it not worth the risk? I need to close my PNC account so was thinking of doing one for DW now. It would be nice to also wipe out most of the MSR on her new CIC at the same time.

Asking @calypso726 and anyone else who might be able to help - can you tell me what you find valuable about the Club Carlson (I think that's the name) credit cards? I'm looking at hotels in Oslo and not finding anything Hyatt or Hilton, but finding lots of Radisson Blu (which is typical for Scandinavia I think). Curious to know if it's worth getting one of these.

Congrats to your dw on the new card!

I was the one who said I was not able to fun a bank account with a biz card. The banker did not even ask me what type of card I wanted to use. She just asked how I wanted to fund the account, I said with a cc and she said I could use a personal cc. I repeated back to her, 'so I cannot use a biz card?' (was hoping to use my AA biz) and she said no. Just one DP. I'm pretty sure I've read people using biz cards before so I'm thinking it's just that bank.

If you received one of the Chase Forced Product Conversion Letters on a business card due to being a "Government Entity"...A reddit user received a follow up letter after contacting Chase to say they are not a government entity client. If it matters to you, you may want to call in and let them know you aren't a "government entity" and see if they'll reverse course for you as well...

Relevant DoC post:

...Also will tag in the news thread...

I also have one of those silly Bonvoy card questions - if DH has the Lux/Brilliant card and would like to get a Biz card, does he need to stay on the AMEX side of things? Or can he look at the Chase Bonvoy Biz cards?

DoC DP's say CIC works to fund PNC (as do other Chase biz cards)!

Maybe a new design coming to the CSR :rolleyes1 a la Insights survey/chat.
Do they ever actually pay out the $50 GC for participating in a chat after the survey?!

There's only one Bonvoy Biz card that you can apply for now, the AmEx one. If you apply before 3/28 the fee is waived first year still and you'll get one renewal at the $95 rate.
