But this is MY night from my card. Therefore, wouldn't it just count for me? Can you use your free night on someone else's account? Just assumed no, but I could be wrong.
Sorry, misread. Correct, you would get the night towards your count.

Which Wells acct did you get? There is a $1k bonus after $25k deposit on a business account at Wells. The funds have to sit there for 6 months though - maybe 7 if you account for the time waiting for the bonus to post.

I am looking to opening a new checking/savings and have $28K to put in so WF would work for me. Is the $1K a cash bonus? I am assuming the $1K if fully taxed? That's why I like cc bonuses better, they aren't taxed.

I am going to be 4/24 in April, perhaps 3/24 when I drop off as an AU from one of my dh's cards. I have a chase Disney rewards card that has a $28 credit limit. Do you recommend me asking for it to be lowered?

Edit: I just looked and the 9 open accounts I have a total of $124K in credit. Three accounts $30Kish and the rest to make up $124K credit limit

Read about the WF $1k offer on DoC. Was tempted, but it seems extremely YMMV. Would have to call around for a Business Specialist that has a code and seems each branch only has 5. I hate calling, so didn't actually try it.

I would think it's taxable. But there's talk on r/churning that bank bonuses with debit card transaction requirements count as rebates and aren't taxable. What do people here think??

Can you transfer a minimum of 1,000 MR to Hilton? That should extend their expiration date.

No help with Etsy. I remember earning cashback there before. Sometimes merchants drop off and come back again to portals. Fingers crossed its temporary.

Thanks on both counts. I didn't realize I could keep it going by transferring in. I may do that.

Think you can use it to shop at Amazon for as little as $0.01. :)

Instead of SkyPesos maybe it should be Hilton, LOL.

Yep, that was the bleak 7,500 VS Miles I was referring to. I think that is the "best" rate for transfers.

@CaliforniaGirl09 - This is even better!

LOL!

If it's just identity, the letter will tell you that you need to mail in front and back copies of DL, SS card, and bank statement or utility bill. Yes, that's right, MAIL only. Super irritating, but it's a pretty much guaranteed approval if you do that.

Good to know!! I'm hoping that is all it is!

@disneymagicgirl DH said Barclay pulled TU for him as well.

Which is weird cause if he was denied for too many inquiries...2 of his 3 recent inquiries are Chase, which pulls Experian here in CO.

Trying to check things off the to-do list tonight...

I finally booked our flights to Buffalo to take my MIL to Niagara Falls this summer for her belated 75th birthday gift. I ended up using UR to book the tickets for myself, DW, & the kids, and used my TrueBlue points to book MIL's flight. She doesn't fly Jet Blue except for the few times she's flown with us, so doesn't care about earning points on her flight.

Now I need to change the dates on our hotel reservation but am not sure the best way to do it. When I booked the hotel through SPG pre-merger, it was 10K SPG points per night which translated to 30K Marriott points. After the merger, that hotel went into Cat 5 so it's now 35K points per night. I went onto the website to see about changing the dates but I can't tell if I'll end up being charged the additional points or not. Should I call Marriott, or is it better to just call the hotel directly and see if they can change the dates for me?

The other caveat is that I plan to use 3 free night certificates to cover one of the rooms. How do those work? Do I make a reservation and then call to attach my certificates to it? I originally booked two rooms using points because I wanted to lock in the pre-merger rate, and I didn't know I'd have the free night certs. Can I attach the certs to one of the points reservations and have them refund me the 90K points?

In other news, I finished the spend on my Barclay Arrival+ sooner than expected! I thought I still had a few hundred $ to go but I must've miscalculated somewhere because the 70K bonus posted to my account. Which is awesome, except I wanted to have a new card on the way before I hit that MSR. I applied DW for the CIC tonight but it went pending. Hopefully she gets approved, I want to finish off the rest of the Chase UR Biz cards for us since we're both 4/24.

Next on the docket (for tomorrow) is to get our hotels sorted for London. I decided to use our IHG free nights + points to book 5 nights at the Crowne Plaza Kings Cross, then stay the last 2 nights in Windsor to do the Castle & Legoland (kids choice, lol). I just need to figure out the IHG points. The hotel is 40K/night; I have 49K & DW has 62K. They charge $5 per 1,000 points to transfer between accounts so that's not worth it. I'll probably just transfer 18K UR points to DW's IHG account so she has enough to book 2 nights on points, unless it's a better value to do a points + cash booking then cancel it. I'd rather not pay anything but I also know UR points are worth a lot more than IHG points.

That was a lot in one post, so thanks in advance for any advice. I'm going to bed now, lol.

Aww man, I have 8 free items at Starbucks right now and love using them for the pricier drinks.

You'll still be able to they'll just be 150 stars instead of 125. But if it's already on your acct as a free drink I'm sure it'll stay that way, they can't/shouldn't make the redemption more after you've already earned it.

No hazard insurance on those tires?

No, To top it off car is less than two months old, so I wanted the exact same tire and took an hour of calling around to find someone in town that didn't have to order it. No clue what happened, she didn't remember hitting anything but it had 5 pretty good sized hols in the side of it. So there went $200. Roads here in Omaha are HORRIBLE.

Watched Some Like it Hot tonight. It was fun and enjoyable. Now it's time for a snack and bed so I can get up an run a 15k in the morning. The one race I'm actually glad to be doing the longer run because they make the 5k go at 655 and the 15k at 755. Only downside is it's going to be colder than the run I did in January but I'm still going to need sunblock. So I've got both gloves and sunblock in my bag :cold:8-) but it's all for the hot chocolate :surfweb:

Yes to cash, and unfortunately it is taxed.

Looking for some much needed guidance for our next card.
Me:
08/18 CIC
08/18 CFU
10/18 AMEX SPG Biz
12/18 CIP

P2:
08/18 CF
10/18 CSP
1/19 CIP (referred by me)

I would like to get the SW CP for 20 and 21 for me and then P2 for 22 and 23. Probably want to use for Hawaii flights in 20.

The 5k MSR on the CIPs have been just about right.

We have 275k URs and 110 MRs.

We are going to WDW this spring break for 4 nights, but didn't use URs for anything. Just went crazy on the DGC savings. We are staying at POP and using DME. I'm hoarding them now.

Does the CSP give us lounge access at MCO?

My first thought is to go for the CIU for me.

Please and thank you to everyone in advance.

Out all day yesterday...so you’ve probably had reply’s...but

Unfortunately CSP does not give you lounge access....you’d need the CSR

CIU would be a good next card for you...
or you could apply for an EIN and have DH refer you for another CIP
Or if you wanted lounge access go for the CSR/CSP modified dd

Just make sure to look at your chase CLs and reduce if needed before applying

Boo! You have me checking RCCL now since my DS is totally fine with it. We are looking to try the Harmony or the Symphony this time. He likes the Disney kids club better but there is so much more to do on RCCL and the pools aren’t crowded like Disney. He also enjoyed me getting him smoothies several times a day since I have the all inclusive drink package.
I want to do harmony next August because fantasy is doing 3-day cruises at the end of the month and the 7-nights earlier in the month are going to be expensive.

Definitely recommend lowering them prior to applying for any new Chase cards
I’ve lowered the CL on the cards I don’t really use...to $1,000....lowered my CSR to $10,000...and business cards to $2,000 each...I do make payments weekly on the cards
