Really?! Maybe they do not have as many kids options? I love reading all the young adult books, so maybe he is too young for them?
I know that the wait list for the really popular ones can be super long!

I went to put myself on the list for one book the other week and saw that my expected wait time was 19 weeks :scared: I caved and bought it lol

My 10,000 MRs just posted from referring myself to the Biz green from my BBP. I've accumulated 61,000 MR since October and will have another 5,000 once I make a purchase with my Biz green. Definitely not the best SUB by far, but I have no use for MRs currently and am trying to keep myself busy with biz cards and low to no AF's while I wait to go under 5/24. I figure I should just keep hitting amex since I haven't gotten a pop up yet. Any suggestions on another biz card to go for?

One thing I dont like is I can't seem to return ebooks early. I read quickly.

I found my cat mystery series I used to read and reread all the old ones plus read the new ones i hadn't read yet but now the two newest are checked out. One on the only one and I think will come up tomorrow. But the other I'm 4th and I'm like, but that's two months....

Have you gone for the Citi AA Biz card or the Barclays AA biz card?

Back from a weekend of fun seeing my BFF in San Diego! Churning related aspects were minimal but I got my flight via UR travel portal 1.5x and used some Altitude Reserve points for Lyft. I paid more attention to using my Altitude Reserve to get 3x on mobile payments when Apple Pay was an option (and it wasn’t dining related as I prefer my CSR). Yay 3x points on San Diego Zoo tickets even though I bought at the gate with a AAA discount! I paid for a Lyft at one point with my Altitude Reserve hoping I’d be able to redeem points it and I got a text from US Bank to redeem my points with Real Time Rewards as soon as the charge went through (at 1.5x because travel) so that was nice. I haven’t been sure what I’d do with these points but redeeming at 1.5x for Lyft/Uber is something I can use!

Good for your DH...mine used the pre check lane when he magically got it and I didn’t a few years ago before we paid for it....
Well, I’m sure my death stare helped his decision. Lol. Just kidding. Actually he hadn’t even noticed it. The TSA guy said “well you could go that way *points left* but they would have to go that way *gestures at DS and me, points right* so you might as well stay together”

Haha good! The Barclays AA only has a $1k MSR so it’s not a long term distraction but is another option.
Sounds good to me! I was denied the Arrival plus. Do you think I will have a hard time with the Barclay AA biz?
ETA: I was over 6/24 and I have no Barclays cards

Not sure which library system you're in but you might see if any around you have a better lending library and if they offer reciprocal memberships. I know here I have a card with my county library system but I can also join the Seattle library and some of the other surrounding counties. It's more useful now with all of the online things that are offered between ebooks and online tools like geneaology searching etc. Along with OverDrive mine also has TumbleBook Library that says it's video storybooks and read-alongs for readers in grades K-6. I've never used it but that might be something to look into as well.

ETA the reciprocal can also be good for those with older kids as some libraries have access to different periodicals and online reference stuff which could be useful for school.
Our library uses Hoopla, not sure if they have more than one system. I really just need to take DS to the library to check out actual books. It’s not too convenient right now as the library is under construction but also DS usually lets me know he has nothing to read at about 7:30pm when it’s time to read.

He can read much harder stuff than he prefers. He is capable of reading stuff like Harry Potter but thinks it’s too scary. Instead he prefers Wimpy Kid, Captain Underpants and Fart Squad. Much to my chagrin, he hates reading.
Maybe I don’t know how to use the system, but we have Hoopla and I don’t find it east to search or locate things he is interested in.

@Calfan hope your Dad gets better.

:offtopic:
What do you budget per day for universal studios? Never been with kids so no clue how much food and souvenirs I should budget. We do the dining plan with Disney. Plus I haven’t seen any gift cards for universal so can’t do any savings there.

I truly don’t know much about Barclays. I think their approach on co-brand cards (ie AA) might be different than their cards (ie Arrival). So it might be easier to get an AA card but I’m not going to go out on a limb and recommend you just apply.
