So complained on reddit this weekend about Marriott being Marriott but now I've actually tried to do something so I'll share my tale here... My LeMeridian Seychelles reservation I booked in Nov changed in the Marriott app to 15x the Euro's it was booked at (a known problem is Marriott quoting the local currency amount due in the wrong currency apparently, someone had that happen with St Regis Bora Bora). I just noticed this weekend, no idea how long it's been like that. Also noticed I have a new confirmation number. Called Marriott today because I don't want to deal with this in the middle of my trip in a couple months. My original confirm # now links to a reservation in Italy for a person that is definitely not me. New confirmation number just errors out in their system. She has submitted a case to the hotel and I should get an email from them in a week, if not I have to call Marriott and they'll "escalate the case to corporate". Why do I have a feeling a week from now I'll be reporting on my request to escalate this to corporate? The res shows up just fine in the Marriott app and when I type in the number on Marriott. I read it to her multiple times so the rep typed the number in right. Gah! We already know this but keep such a close eye on your Marriott bookings...

IHG did that too me once where I got a completely random new confirmation number. My reservation was still intact and the hotel was very confused why it did it so I still don't know why it happened.
 
Ok Chase, I don't think I'll fall for it again, offering $5 to go paperless on my IHG card so you can send me a 1099 for 100x that next year. Fool me once shame on you... a fooled man can't get fooled again!

I just got a $5 credit on my Chase Freedom. Signed up before xmas sometime but I thought I put it on a different card. So now I have a $95 credit on Marriott and $5 credit on Freedom. Still no AF on the Marriott. Thinking it's going to come next Dec.

Wow, the pages move fast here! I made my first post yesterday - some ten pages ago - about wanting to use my new Chase SW card's Companion Pass to help me take my son on weekend trips all over the US this summer. SouthFayetteFan gave me some immediate tips, including suggesting that I sign up for a SW Business card to get an additional 60K points and ultimately get another Companion Pass next year.

I applied and I got it! None of that would have occurred to me if I hadn't come here. I am still avidly reading and learning and trying to learn the lingo. Just a heartfelt thanks from a newbie here, so I thought I'd let you know. :cool1:

This is the best part of VA! The first “snow” when I was in school here I showed up not even thinking to check to see if school was closed. I was kinda mad when I showed up and the doors were locked. There wasn’t even snow on the ground. I learned my lesson and checked my email before leaving everyday lol. In NY school was hardly ever closed. Ik in NYC a big concern is students going hungry if schools are closed. TBH I’m a spaz when it comes to the snow. Even though you get fined for not shoveling your side walk people refuse to do it and I hate walking in it.
 
Since I am fairly new to the game, I usually lurk here and learn as much as I can, and ask a few questions here and there. I am just venting this time. This is not churning related but still cc related. I applied and received a CIP last 11/18. I've had fraudulent charges on it last December and had to get a new cc number/card sent to me. I applied for and received a CIU last 1/2019 and I've had fraudulent charges on it a few weeks later and received a new card the last week of 1/19. Then today, I had fraudulent charges on the CIU again and will be receiving a new cc soon. This is 3 replacement cards in 3 months due to fraudulent charges, which is a record for me! The last time I had fraudulent charges on a card was 2-3 years ago. Man, do I have a target on my back?

I also pay for credit monitoring and received a notice that my info was on the dark web. I don't even know what that means. Anyway, I just finished putting a credit freeze on all 3 credit bureaus.

Ok...done venting....thanks for letting me release some steam here!
 
Well I guess I WON’T be playing kingdom hearts tonight since all three video stores are out of it....and one store even said it was overdue. Why can’t people just turn things in when they’re supposed to?
They are snowed in.

omg I'm SO creeped out right now... jk!!! There is no etiquette on Twitter, if it's not against Twitter policies (in which case they will delete your tweet/shutdown your account) you're good to go pretty much. If you follow someone who doesn't want you to follow them they'll "block" you and that's pretty much a #badgeofhonor
