DH wants to do both of those Busch Gardens locations so so bad :)

One year when we were taking a break from Disney we got the Super Grover Pass which covered Sesame Place, both Busch gardens, Sea World, River Country USA and Aquatica. We also got $$ off Discovery Cove. I haven’t looked in to it for a few years so YMMV. Our Disney break failed. I went in to a bit of Disney withdrawal so DD and I did one MK day. I don’t know if they even sell these but they were a good value for us that year.

I have a mailer for the 100k MRs on Amex platinum (5k spend in 3 months) and I’m debating going for it.
Of course it’s the $550 AF that’s keeping me from jumping on it.

So tell me about the $200 airline fee credit. Is that one that people are buying and then selling airline gift cards on? If so, how much are people pocketing for the $200 gift card? It might help a bit to stomach the fee if I could cash that out.

I have been collecting URs for a WDW trip in 04/2020 and although I’m sure I could find a use for 100k MRs, it’s not my current goal.
Here’s what I have so far
05/2018 CIP
08/2018 CSR
08/2018 CSP
11/2018 SW plus
01/2019 SW biz

Not totally sure what my next step will be. Is there any way to use MRs towards WDW besides flights (already covered with SW)?

Just to chime in, you got the best offer for this card! The Platicorn! I've been taking the airline credits and turning them into $200 worth of AA gift cards, which we have been using on various trips. I use the Saks $50 x 2 to get skincare products since they are the same everywhere. We use the Uber credit for Uber or Uber Eats. You get Global Entry (which is TSA Precheck plus other features), and you can use the Priority Pass and Centurion Lounges in airports. The AMEX deals were good enough that between that and all the other benefits it more than covered my AF. You can turn MRs into certain hotel points and certain airline points if you don't want to cash them out. 100K MRs is a good offer, if it works for your future travel plans, of course.

:offtopic: But my budget fail for the day - @havaneselover and a few others, I know we talked about the Vyvanse coupon. I thought the lady told me my coupon would last a year, but apparently it only lasts for the calendar year. Grrr I had already waited over 30 minutes for it, so I just went ahead and paid for it. And my copay went up $5 for this year also. I just printed out a new coupon, but wont refill for another 4 weeks so hope I remember it then. Wont complain too much because I know my copay is much lower than yours, but paying $25 more than I should have is frustrating.
Ugh! I downloaded mine while I was at Target in January and now it’s on file through 2019. We are still working on proper dosage (up to 50 mg). I pay $231 but am paying with gift cards. Ds starts high school I’m thr fall so I’m desperate to see improvement.

Platicorn! LOL, love it!

Planning to get skincare products with the Saks credits too. It's great that they have free shipping no minimums.

My DSs is $231 after coupon as well. Where do you use gift cards? I usually fill at Sams club.

I was just looking at my chase 1099 to see what the breakdown is and it shows $500 on my Disney visa. I never use my disney visa, except the ultra rare occasion it gets me early access to a discount. So I logged into my chase account and sure enough I have $501 disney reward dollars. I have no idea where they came from, but $500 disney bucks!? What a lovely surprise to offset the unforeseen tax consequences of the game. pixiedust:

I haven’t done this but I have heard of people modifying their same day reservation for a later date and then canceling to get out of the fee. I feel like that’s wrong to do, but if my flight was delayed and I was going to miss my reservation I would do this.

I did it last week when DD started puking.

I had wondered if I could just search for it on my phone but the clerk was zero help and there was a line behind me. So I just bought it because of course I waited till last day to fill, he was all out. Mine was only $55 without the coupon. So sorry to be complaining! But $25 is $25!

So I piled on to a Tweet from DofC to Chase Support that included complaints about the $500 1099s for taking the 500 points to go paperless. Got a DM from Chase Support a couple of minutes ago indicating they would like to look into the issue and asking me to DM them my name and zip. Just sent a reply DM, so we'll see what happens...I'll report back.

Thanks. I sort of think it is an error and I need to hurry and order a rewards card with it. ha!

ETA: I just looked at the statements and I see it was refer a friend bonuses on my July statement. Happy day. I think I remember posting in the comments of a doc article where he said we could post our links one time...faintly recall that. Maybe it is from there!

I've wanted to go to BG down there forever. We're only about an hour and fifteen from BG Williamsburg and love it. We're much closer to King's Dominion but never go there.

DH and I are definitely planning to go back to Universal once the WWoHP addition is completed.
What do you like about Busch gardens? I think the roller coasters look awesome and sometimes I just need my roller coaster fix.

I’m very excited for the hp expansion!

Who has called Citi when they received a letter about verifying credit report info? I app'd for the biz AA and need to call but I'm sorta scared. Of course, I have sold probably $500 in the last 2 weeks for my "business" so I can probably talk my way through if they are asking biz questions.

if your child is sick they will waive the fee if call in or stop by the restaurant if you are close by. DD was sick back one of the last two trips had to leave the park before our reservation. Stopped by the restaurant since it was on our way out the park. Told them we needed to leave bc she was sick and they said its not a problem and they would waive the cancellation fee. not sure if all restaurants do that but the three character meals we had did no problem.
