I have a question regarding the disney visa (either version). We are considering a sept trip to take advantage of free dining. IF I applied and was approved for either version, what are the requirements for the 0% for 6 months? Are you required to pay the full amount on the card at the time of booking? Or can you just put the normal deposit and pay the remainder at the normal time (30 days out or whenever it is)? 6 month 0% isn't really helpful for me if the clock starts now as I would still be paying it in full prior to the trip. Like a good introvert I've searched the googles and can't seem to get a straight answer.

Each individual charge would get 6 months. So your deposit would get 6 months and then the final amount would get 6 months from whenever you charge it.

Having sent several kids overseas for 3-4 months with one checked bag, I will say that rolling everything really does take up less space than folding.

Wow, DD took 2 checked bags. One weighing 49.5 lbs the other was about 35 lbs. Also her carryon was extremely heavy too. Thank goodness I had DH weigh her big one before we left because she was at 58. Those darn packing cubes worked too well. lol She had at first just folded clothes into suitcase and filled it up. Then decided to try the packing cubes and she discovered she had twice the room! I told her she brought way too much and had her pull a few things out before we left. I guess it is hard to figure out what you want to wear 6 months down the road. It is summer there now, but winter when she leaves, though I think it is mild winter so I don't think she really brought anything really wintery. She also packed sheets and towels and then we got something about renting them there. I told her she could take them out and rent them or she could keep them in there and not bring them back so she had room for things she might buy there. She left them in so she will have a tiny bit of room for extras.

Have to tell someone of my wonderful day today. After looking and debating for the last few weeks. My wife and I booked the flights for us and our kids for our Disneyworld trip in Dec. We managed to do it completely with MR points from our Gold Card. 17,000 Delta miles per seat from MSP-MCO starting the saturday after Thanksgiving. It will be my wife and I's third trip and the first for each of our kids.

So I probably should confess that we have paid overweight fees several times -- for my kids, it was worth not having to schlep the second checked bag. They have also left sheets, towels, and assorted items of clothing in various foreign countries as it was not worth bringing them home.

17k round trip from MSP? That’s a fantastic price!

I just looked and our local symphony is doing Order of the Phoenix in March coincides with DS’s 12th birthday being that same month. I think I have found his birthday present.

My teen will be singing in a performance of Order of the Phoenix later this spring - she's in a choir that is associated with our local symphony. I don't actually recall how much choral music there is in the score, but whatever there is, she'll be performing. They've done some of the other movies, but we've never gone. Having a kid in the production will probably get me there this time.

She’s not singing with the BSO, is she?

For those who worked the Staples MCGCs, how long does it take for the to ship? Besides the confirmation on Thurs, I haven’t heard from Staples. My CIC charges are still pending also. (Hoping they ship since that we’ll be 15k UR plus I met the MSR for the 50k bonus. That bad 65k UR for 3k :)

Awesome, that supports my theory. Thanks!

P.S. Nicely played on the 3x travel credit!

I’ve had something similar happen when I upgraded my SW plus card to the Priority...8/1 the annual fee posted for my Plus....statement closed around 8/15...RR points posted...called around 8/22 and upgraded..no annual fee for the Priority has been charged yet

Ah! So if I'm trying to plan about 2 years into the future, it complicates things a little bit! I suppose we could do both. I could get a non Chase and DH could get CSP.

What does it do to a credit score to open a card and then close it 1-2 years later? Does it really make much of a difference? We never carry a balance on our cards and always pay our mortgage on time, so we both have pretty healthy scores, as I'm sure most people who are playing the rewards game do. I just always have wondered how someone maintains a good score while card hopping.

We haven’t had any issues with our scores..they have remained in the 830 range since we started this in May...We don’t carry balances

DW and I placed our first order night of 1/21/19.
Received shipping confirmations for both orders on 1/23/19.
My order arrived 1/25/19.
DW's order arrived 1/26/19.
Still waiting on the activation codes.

Just saw on Experian that AmEx lowered DH's credit limit on his Blue EveryDay. I got him the Rose Gold and the Hilton Biz a few weeks ago (few days apart). Is this a bad sign?

Finally called DirectTV/AT&T about our nothing working receiver. Just in time for the Super Bowl we will moving into 2019 services. We are upgrading all of our HD and Standard receivers to the new HD receivers and the DVR Genies for free. Our “already ridiculous” bill amount will remain the same. The technician said that over the next few months they upgrading everyone since they are doing away with standard boxes.

I've been opening and closing 5 - 10 cards a year since 2012. My credit score has remained steadily in the 800's :cool1:

Does the CL show lowered when you log into his Amex account? How much was it lowered?

Playing major catch up...

Keep loving your Honda’s everybody. My “P2” is a Honda engineer. :thanks:

But another one loving my Honda CRV. Bought it brand new 3 years ago. Glad it's paid off now. Love the sunroof, heated seats and esp the CD player. Lol...I mention the CD player because my Toyota I brought brand new as well was one of the last that had a cassette player in it. :ssst: I kept it for 15 years though. I just wanted to be in the 21st Century...

Question for one's who've flown into BOS. We will be flying into there in May and have a 8 hour layover, any ideals what to do while there. Would it be worth it to venture outside the airport? If so where.
