Thanks, all :-) I tried to do it online but, as @miztressuz said, I had to call to get the security code. I'm going to keep the business and personal log-ins separate for right now.
I keep both my dh and my biz and personal sign ins separate. If you actually use the BIZ card for biz charges it is much easier to keep track of. (And my old rattly brain needs all the help it can get! Lol)

Not saying this to persuade you guys or anything...but most of us looking at AA miles are doing it solely thru biz cards, thus not affecting our 5/24 status. I’m doing it in an attempt to slow my roll with Chase :)

I did look into the business cards, but the way we travel now booking 2 BRs with our DVC or close offsite 2 BRs with the CSR through the Chase travel portal....I’m better off accumulating as many URs as possible

Thinking about boarding the grAAvy train for some hotel nights.

I pulled Barclay's 50,000 offer for $1,00.00 in 3 months. That's easy to pull off.

I have a mailer from AA for 60,000 points after $3,000 spend in 3 months (not as easy to meet the MSR, but doable with board for the horse over 3 months).

Question: can I use the AA mailer to apply for a business card -- it was addressed to me personally (not my business). I'm not willing to use a 5/24 slot right now.

Argh...I guess my luck had to run out eventually...insta-denied for the Citi AA Biz after applying on a whim based on the chatter here today. I might have set my credit report to re-freeze sooner than I thought, since it seems they didn't even pull my credit, but I would have sworn I set it for the end of the month. Or maybe they're mad about my relatively recent multiple Chase applications...any insight? This is my first Citi or AA anything. I used the income and sole proprietor information I always do. Do I really have to wait 95 more days to even try again?

Edit: Just checked Equifax, credit is definitely still thawed. What gives, Citi?

call and find out the reason of denial.

Don't forget the AF. It looks like Barclays Biz doesn't waive the $95 AF. But if you're worried about meeting a spend the $1k spend is a lot easier to meet on that one. Citi biz usually waives the af but it's got the higher spend requirement, is that the case with the offer you're seeing?
Yep. 50K, 1k MSR, AF not waived. I'd rather have the AF waived and meet the higher spend

applied for cip yesterday and approval today. yea! i'm so missing out on all the AA stuff and wishing i could do it. but going to stick with the plan. unless the plan fails, and then i might hop on the AA wagon.

Congrats party:on the CIP....I’m sticking to my plan too and not hopping on the train...but it is hard the FOMO is real

but working on those spends is my problem.

And I'm trying to stick to the plan of earning UR for Australia next fall. Dh is a reluctant P2. I might be able to get him to apply for a United card this spring to add to his CSP (which may become a CF/CFU) and his Hyatt (which he wants to keep). I still need the CIP and a CIC/CIU to have points in hand for booking in October :faint:

I can learn a new points ecosystem in 2020 :-)

Good news - CIC = approved with a $12k CL. My wife is now in the 3 Chase biz card club with a total of $33k in combined CL for her tiny “business” LOL!
Haha - I forgot to update my spreadsheet on when this card was approved. Glad I have this thread that I can search my own comments on, LOL!

First the citi AA biz mailers, what us the usual offer? Is it $5k msr for 50k AA points? Trying to decide if I should try for one now. I'm working on my CIC msr currently, but thinking I should start the clock on citi. I wonder if Aulani is available to book through their portal....not that I have flights covered yet.
