I may try this in October when I can go for card #2. Are you going to wait until you do another 3K before cancelling the booking? Or does that not matter once the points are there?

I’m going to do the 3k spend first (heloc payment) and then cancel. I’ve never heard of a clawback but just to be safe

I know a lot of us who have already held the AmEx Biz Platinum are considering upgrading our Greens and/or Golds to Biz Platinums for the 50K MR, no lifetime language, offer. A bunch of us were discussing this a few days ago.

Well, I stumbled upon a thread on reddit, and there are several AmEx reps who can offer 100K MR/$10K spend/3mo with no lifetime language via call-in. I just made the call, and was instantly approved in spite of the fact that I already hold a Biz Platinum and a Biz Gold. The entire call was 10-15 minutes, with the typical easy phone application - basically just saying all of the stuff you would have typed on the application. They email the terms while on the phone, so I could verify that there is no lifetime language.

Yes, your 16 yr can be an AU. You need to be 13 yr or older with AmEx.

I thought AMEX biz was 18?

Here's an odd DP: I applied for the Amex Blue Business Cash card for DH a few days ago because DH was getting the popup on the Hilton Biz. Since tonight is the last night for the Hilton Biz promo, I decided on a whim to apply for him again... and he was approved, no pop up.

But, it was kind of weird. He got the "we've received your application" message. Then, the screen changed to "this offer has expired" or something similar, I'm not exactly sure what it was. I figured it hadn't gone through, but he was approved a few minutes later. I wonder if he'll get the bonus? Anybody have any guesses?

Same thing happened with DHS biz applications the other day. No pop up when we had been getting it and then I thought there was some sort or error but he got the congrats email right away and the card is coming today. I’ll meet the spend and hold my breath to see if those points post

I think on this trip I'd be more concerned about being soaked every day then sweaty. Take plenty of shoes.

No. Strangely that is helpful. Because now I am thinking maybe I book Beach Club with the Delta package for late night and next day. I can be cheap and book a moderate another time when it is straight cash price. So 2 nights BC, 4 nights at Riviera studio and then try to take my two nights at BLT already booked and try to grab a one bedroom at VGF in a couple days when it hits 7 months. (My two older girls have never stayed VGF and I want them to have a chance to experience the FANCY!).

Hope VGF works out for you! We did a stay there as our first (rental) DVC stay and it was lovely. I am sure we will do it again when she is older (she was 23 months) and can appreciate it more.

Uh oh, I was the OP on that question about the Amex biz AU’s. I already asked them to send me an AU card for DD16 for my HHBiz. Is it 18? Hoping she’ll be able to use it for her post volleyball game Taco Bell runs this fall and help me keep the spend on that card!

One of my friends from the dis switched her trip from wdw this weekend to dlr. It's her first trip there. Less park time but no worries about getting stuck in fl mon. And it's easy to do this last minute.

We got soaked more than a few times in June. Ponchos and umbrellas are useless when it rains that hard. Shoes don't dry unless you blow-dry them. I know I'm weird, but it's sounds kind of fun to be in WDW during a hurricane. Stay safe.

I couldn't add it to DH13 account said had to be 18 but I should try chatting and see if it can be done!

The 5k MR for AUs on my Gold says "First, your significant other, child (13+) or employee will enjoy the benefits of a Gold Card membership.

Everything I found online says 13 or older too. DS is only 12 so I can't try adding him to see if it would be work on any of my AmEx Biz cards.

My win for the day so far was getting our Splash Mountain FP tomorrow moved from 8:30am to 9:45am, which has helped convince DH that we could swing by Epcot to scan in to get those AP coasters... so probably the parks will be closed Monday which is the 4th day we would need to get them...

She’s already an AU on my BCP, but what I learned with my DS2 the last year or two is, my kids don’t spend much on groceries, it’s mostly “dining”. Lol
HHBiz isn’t as good as the gold or CSR on that, but at least it’s better than BCP.
