Yeah we haven’t bought any yet. I told Dh we would obviously use them sometime within the next year. It stinks that we don’t have an MSR to work towards but we can’t open any new cards until after our closing of our new house.
If you decide to do it, typically these deals post as travel if that helps you decide on a card :)

I mean, at some point, your numbers have to make sense, right? If you’re applying as a sole proprietorship (vs. say, a partnership), and you list 2 employees on revenue of only $1,500, are you not paying the other employee a minimum wage? 1 employee sole proprietorship is so much cleaner.
Yeah - but you don’t have to have full time employees. If I was a wedding videographer as a side hobby doing just a few weddings a year making $4k; I could be paying an employee $500 to just show up and run a camera for an hour at the ceremonies. Maybe I want them to have a card to go buy something in a pinch.

CIP Biz application won't accept my home address. Any suggestions?

Street address is red (everything else is good)

"Please complete these fields to continue to next step:
....Business mailing address"

I'm using a street address (with a followed by , apartment number)

are you putting the apartment number in the “business mailing address 2” field. Only the street address should go in the first field.

It doesn't like my address if I put it in as my home address either.

No second line for address, but it's red before I even get to the apartment part
I’m not sure you want to share you address but if you’re willing, you’re welcome to PM me and I’ll take a look at it. I’ve never heard of this issue before. Are there any strange characters or formatting in your address?

I am wanting to apply for my first Citi AA Biz card, do I need a mailer or is it OK to just use the public offer online?

Another question...any business cards where you get a card number you can use right away? I remember getting one for an AMEX card once upon a time. I have some big purchases to make and I would love to have a new card to put them on right away.

It's official, I'm starting the game with my first card applied: CIP Biz.

Noteworthy, I checked my Chase account to make sure I didn't have a better offer than the links on the Reddit page. Same offer. Then when I used the link, it would only continue in an Incognito mode, but I was afraid my benefactor would not get credit. So I cleared 24 hours of History, Cookies, and Cache (Chrome) and it worked.

Never mind. It doesn't like commas (even tho it specifically said commas were legal)

Thank you all!

You don't ever want or need commas in your mailing address. You can put it between city and state but the PO doesn't even need that. I've dealt A LOT of time with bad addresses and searching on usps.com for missing info. Ideally they want the address in all caps with only a hyphen for your additional 4 on the zip and the apt, suite # etc if it's needed.

Well I figured that would be the case. @Lain - what are your thoughts on the whole thing?

I think I stand by my comment from yesterday that we don’t want to play any games with referral loopholes. It seems that it’s not worth the risk.

The one question though is on the multiple CIP loophole and the ability to self-refer. Boy it’s be tough to give up 10k URs there and I think I’d continue to advocate for that (where necessary). Of course a spouse link is the better option if possible.

Like @Andysol noted in his Reddit comment, it appears Chase is a year behind in going after perceived misuse, so we may not know if Chase considers whatever we’re doing misuse for another year. Even then (and I haven't seen the letters), it seems Chase is only issuing warnings for now, not clawing back points or shutting down accounts.

What I don’t like about the Chase self-support and cross-support method — and I commented about this in the DISchurners thread — is that it’s obviously a “hack,” something stumbled upon by the churning community, and not developed, intended, or supported by Chase. By comparison, Amex's universal cross-support was clearly designed by Amex as a new feature (and there's some ambiguity whether self-support was intended).

This aside, DPs that self- or cross-support using this method may or may not track seems to me like risking a waste of a lot of support clicks. I'd rather use someone else's official support link and have confidence my click will track and the support points will be awarded, even to someone else, than potentially waste a click on myself. This is somewhat analogous to why I’ll choose to use certain shopping portals over others, even if the payout is lower but I know it’ll track vs. a higher potential payout but risk that it won’t track. And then I may not want to follow up for the missing purchase because I might’ve used a credit card or promo code that may or may not be supported. Getting Chase to credit you for missing support points is difficult enough when the click is legitimate. I don’t think it’d be a good idea for anyone to ask Chase to credit them for a support click that didn’t track using this method. (And I hope no one is stupid enough to try.) But then that’s a wasted click, and the bank wins.

I don’t know. Sounds more like an independent contractor to me.
