I like animals more than people sometimes.

I agree with not liking people sometimes, but am terrified of animals...

So my response is...

I like quiet time by myself more than people sometimes!

I think I always like animals better than most people!

Definitely. If I am watching a movie and an animal dies or is hurt I just can't stand it. It's the same thing with watching a movie showing kids suffering or dying, I just can't stand it. However, I don't seem as empathetic towards adults in movie or real life.....

Add me to the list! Don't get me wrong....I love people- but animals are definitely first for me.....they never hurt my feelings, judge, or criticize me and at the end of the day animals depend on you for their care......people can depend on themselves.:)

A friend of mine once asked me why do I love animals so much... I told her because they NEVER say stupid things (like THAT question)!! :lmao:

I prefer them to people and have all my life. I guess my tolerance with them is MUCH higher.;)

This is something you just don't hear, glad to know there are others out there. It takes all I have to ride the safari in AK with my DH.

I ALWAYS trust animals more and like ANY animal at first introduction more than any human at first introduction.

My critters are extremely important to me and the only people I would put in front of them in importance are my family. I also know that my animal family would want me to do that, since they love us so much.

When my adorable bunny rabbit died a few weeks ago, I felt a huge loss. My home has lost it's sunshine. She brought me so much peace and joy and I still haven't "come to grips" with the whole thing. People keep telling me, "It was just a rabbit." No, SHE wasn't just a rabbit - she was a blessing in my life.

I do like lots of people and there are lots of people I don't like. I don't understand what compels people and where their sometimes malicious intent comes from. Dogs, cats, rabbits, horses ... I "get" them. :flower3:

Oh, definitely. People suck. Animals might hurt or kill you, but they wouldn't mean it.

I love my own personal pets, but otherwise I simply like most of the animals I come in contact with (I assume we are talking about pets - I don't have any real feelings towards any other kind of animal, except awe at the really interesting ones in the wild and irritation at the pesky ones who live in my yard!)

Otherwise, I like most people better than most animals. I must not have that many irritating people in my life, because my interactions with friends and even casual acquaintances do more for me than my pets. I do love my dog and cats, but after a few minutes of being loved on they just want to sleep - preferably within a three foot radius of me at all times - and that really doesn't give me much in the way of interaction.

I think what you are really saying is that pet animals can be counted on to be affectionate when YOU require it, without any real effort. That's a nice thing about pets!!

But overall, I would choose people over pets if I had to make a choice.

well this thread is um, different. i much prefer people to animals and would always put a person before an animal. yes people can suck a lot of the time but when that happens i just have some 'me' time. i don't have to be around anyone if i don't want to be.

Add me to the list also!

My dog doesn't judge, she doesn't care if I put on a few pounds, or if I haven't brushed my teeth yet. She doesn't care if my hair looks like you combed it with a cinnamon bun. When I get home from work, she acts like a teenage girl would if Justin Timberlake just walked through the door. If I feed her dinner at 10:00pm, she's thankful for the food and couldn't care less that it's 4 hours late.

I like her much more than about 95% of the people I know!

As long as we are not talking about lobsters then yes, I frequently like animals more than people.

If we are talking lobsters, the world would be a better place without 'em.

That's a phrase I've never heard before... "doesn't care if my hair looks like you combed it with a cinnamon bun" Hmmmmm....trying to imagine that...maybe it looks something like this?

Are you kidding me??? I like animals more than people 90% of the time.

Got to agree. Animals don't cheat, lie, and aren't "fake". For the most part, if you treat them right, they treat you right. People definitely are not always that way. I know somebody (NOT a friend of mine for sure ) who was recently arrested for "training" his horse by beating her with a baseball bat (I saw the pictures, and it was bad). I've never seen a horse beat anybody with a bat... :sad2:
