Do you think POFQ is worth $37 more a night than Pop? If it is over Spring Break? And you are going solo?

I'm debating upgrading my April trip. Saving the money by staying at a Value would be nice, but then so would having a resort with shaded bus stops. And a boat to DTD.

Any thoughts?:confused3

I think it would be worth the $37 extra to stay at POFQ. I love that resort. I like the size and quaintness of it. The boat to DTD is also very nice, and it seems like POFQ is more centrally located than POP.

I like POR more than FQ myself, but they are both great resorts.

If you really need to save the money, go with Pop and I'm sure you'll have a great time. The mods are really nice though :goodvibes

I think it is definitely worth it. POFQ is very compact, easy walking from any of the buildings and only one bus stop (which like you said, is shaded). When we were there in early June it was so peaceful, such a nice way to end your day after all the activity in the parks.....and the hot tub is very nice at the end of the day. Also, the food court is a lot less crowded than Pop IMO. Especially during spring Break time, I would go with the smaller less congested resort. :thumbsup2

The Pop will be more of a family atmosphere kids everywhere running around playing. POFQ would be more laid back so it all depends on if the kids would bother you? I would choose POFQ if it was me just a nicer resort IMO:thumbsup2

I would also vote fore POFQ - Nice resort, likely more quiet. Smaller resort + 1 bus stop + first stop on the route = not as much scrambling for a bus!

Have never stayed at either, but I would always pick a moderate over a value, and we were at the POFQ walking around in September and it is a lovely resort.

have you stayed at POP before? does the noise level bother you? I'm not sure shaded bus stops is too big of an issue at Spring Break. And the PoP doesn't share bus service. POFQ does share with POR...unless it's busy enough and it may be over SB.

I'm inclined to save the money...I like the food court both places...beniegts anyone?.... POFQ is so compact. easy to get to THE bus stop. Nice theming on the pool. very quaint. mostly quiet unless you're close to the pool. I do like the boat to DD.

POP has a nice selection in the food court. there is ONE bus stop and it's not far from the main building so I don't think the shade issue is a big one. The only thing the rooms lack is the fridge and a ceiling fan compared with POFQ. The advantage of price cannot be overlooked.

Space shouldn't be an issue for you with one person...if you're there 6 nights, it's $222! that's enough to make me think twice. (But if you rent a fridge, it's not that much diff.)

However, it's your vacation...you need to do what pleases you for the money. Sounds to me like you're leaning toward POFQ.

I would recommend POFQ if the extra money is in the budget. If not, I'd stick with POP. I'm sure you'll have a great time at either place! Enjoy your trip.

I'm voting for FQ. We have stayed at Pop and FQ and much preferred FQ. The boat to DTD is such a nice perk. Their is only one bus stop for the entire resort. Everything is very close together and the grounds are so much prettier.

POFQ!

We are going to Disney in June and just made the switch from POP to POFQ. Hope it is worth it!

POFQ for sure over POP for Spring Break. It will make for a more relaxing trip. :)

I think it depends on your personality. If you are going to be at the parks most of the time and only in your room to shower and sleep ...then I would save the money and stay at POP.

However, if you are planning more of a relaxing vacation...and enjoy the hot tubs and a sit down restaurant at your resort...I would go with POR.

Another vote for POFQ!
I once stayed solo at POP and was in a building pretty far from the main area.
POFQ is so compact and as others have said--so relaxing.

I've stayed at both and hands down, I would stay at POFQ. Well worth the price increase. FQ is compact and for a solo trip has alot to offer. You can take the boat to DTD and POR. Great food court in FQ, we visit it even when we don't stay here.

Spring break will be crowded at POP, POFQ will make for a great trip!

Have a great time!

If you can swing the extra $37 I'd also say go for POFQ. POP is nice, but POFQ is nicer, and for me the boat to DTD is worth it, since my must eat counter service dining choices are there including the Earl of Sandwich, and Wolfgang Puck's Express! Have fun traveling solo!

I have never stayed at POP. We have stayed at All-Star Sports and we absolutely loved it. I thought the theming was great for ds... and I think that the Values really do have fun theming for kids.

We have also stayed at POFQ and plan to stay there next trip. Not sure if you are looking for the same things that we are looking for, but when I chose a moderate over a value, this is what sways me: fridge in the room, slide in the resort pool, more subtle theming.

We have stayed at CSR, CBR, and POFQ. Why we chose POFQ: the smallest of all the moderates - it's cozy and really does offer less walking (we are going July/Aug), boat to DTD, we are just coming off seeing "The Princess and the Frog" (which I MADE ds 10 go see with me) now he is dying to go to New Orleans and figures POFQ is the closest he will get for now!!! The theming here is really awesome. I have been to New Orleans and while I do not think "I am there," it is reminiscent of New Orleans for me.

Have fun!!!

POFQ ABSOLUTELY!!!! It's so very quiet, quaint, and beautiful. I have stayed at both of these resorts. And while Value resorts are just fine, I find that as long as I can afford it, I won't go back to Value again. If the difference is only $37 a night, then it is so worth it!!!:goodvibes

We've stayed at both & POFQ definitely has my vote. It's beautiful, quiet & the transportation was great. We also like the size of the resort - you're never far from the food court, pool or buses. I love to get up early in the morning & walk along the river with my cup of tea. Beautiful resort!
