I can't get over the gps saying impossible!!!! About a month ago my 2 best friends from college and I had a girls weekend and my gps got us lost in the back woods of CT! It had us literally driving around in circles and going down this dark, scary, really narrow road! They said my gps wasn't invited on the next trip!

I bet I know where the pics were taken from but my lips are sealed!!!!

The pictures from the WL are great. And I love all the different photos in Nashville. Your pictures of the Hall of Fame just make me want to go all the more (I love Carrie Underwood; not a big fan of Taylor Swift). And I'm with you--Allison Kraus has a great voice--I love her songs.

I am the same way about having a clean car inside and out before a trip. I think it's because I know I am going to have to be in it for an extended period of time. Of course, by the time we get home it needs to be done all over again. In fact, I need to take the van to the car wash this weekend so I can put my new antenna topper on it.

I am cracking up over the matching cowgirls!

I have to go back and read more carefully through your update b/c I was in such a rush to post after seeing your AMAZING pics from WL. Did you get to go up on the roof and raise the flag?? Or do all the WL tours get to go up there? If the latter I am kicking myself that I missed it when I stayed there. Of course it was literally ~40 degrees when I was there so perhaps the roof might not have been a fun place.

Either way, can't wait for more.

And I am with you on the counter-top intrigue! Seems like a great, economical solution!

HI From the OBX! I promise to reply to everyone, but I just wanted to do a quick "hello". Our house here is absolutely beautiful. OMG. I want to stay here forever!

But, I have to tell you that the drive here was the absolute worst traffic I have ever seen. It took us 9 1/2hrs to get here because the traffic was mostly bumper to bumper from the time we hit NC. Unbelievable. The last three hours were particularly bad. We drove, no lie, 30 miles in over 3 hrs. I have a 5 speed and I am not exaggerating when I say that I finally just had to pull over and get out of the car because my legs were cramping up from being in 1st gear for so long. Never again. Oh, I'll come back here again, but only drive during off hours or spend the night in VA beach and get up at the a$$ crack of dawn to get here.

The lady who owns the house kept calling me to see when we would arrive. She greets everyone on arrival. My friends got here at 4:45pm and I got here at 5pm.

Anyway - I love it here. It's raining a bit now so I am waiting for the skies to clear a bit and then going out for a run. I am going to download pics now, but will be back later with replies. I wanted to go to church, but the closest church is like 20 miles away, so I guess I'll stay put. Just not quite that motivated after yesterdays drive.

Isn't that the worst????? You think you are safe and then you end up in a place you would have never gone if it wasn't for the gps. That happened to me in Philly went we went to see Wicked. I was the driver and I think the gps got screwed up in the parking garage so I switched it into some simulator mode and ended up in the WORST possible section of town. Not good!

I totally agree with you on the CU TS comparison. Unfortunately Taylor does not have the greatest voice. Pretty girl, can't really sing all that well. Alison Kraus, on the other hand, has such a unique, gentle voice filled with emotion.

No, I wasn't the flag family but I showed up for the lodge tour by myself. The ranger asked me if I wanted to do anything special and I actually asked him to take me on the roof. He made my day!

The roof was actually really hot, so I think its probably best to go up there when its cooler.

The zoom lens makes a huge difference. Someday I hope to have an even better zoom, but this is fine for now!
