I Kicked it I Played it and now..Wheeling & Dealing at the WL final 9/9 p87/88

Morning All...I don't have time to comment this morning. I slept in (yes 730am is sleeping in for me) and I have a parade this morning. I have to start getting ready. I hope I can find all the pieces of my uniform considering I have missed every parade so far this season. It's always something - weather cancellation, soccer game, soccer tournament, birthday party. Its going to be stinkin' hot today, so not really looking forward to it!

Cirque sounds Ahhhh-mazing! :cloud9:

I'm so glad you were able to make it there for the show. Phew!

Whew. So relieved you made it on time for the show! I have to be honest and say that Cirque has never appealed to me but your description and all the recommendations have me wondering if I should give it a try.

I've seen Cirque on TV, but the idea of seeing it live is so appealing! I'm so glad you made it in time and enjoyed it so
much! :goodvibes

Phew!!!! I was reading your update on your drive to DTD like I was right there with you!! Poor Chuck driving!!
The Cirque show that I saw in Vegas was ahhhhmazing!!! I just sat there with my jaw dropped open...probably drooling :rotfl2: Such talent!! :thumbsup2
Loved your previous update too....I think your monorail pictures were awesome!! I don't know what else you were looking for because I think you captured it all right there! :goodvibes Great PP pictures....especially like the one of you and Cathy :thumbsup2
Have a fun day today....be sure to post an update of you in your uniform later ;)

Tracy

Oh no...I've fallen behind but I can catch up!!

Your pictures from LWTL are amazing! did you use a flash for the inside scenes? They came out so bright and clear!!

I saw those palm flowers, I love them! Greg was in Ukraine a few years ago and he bought me a few like them but no bubble wrap...I have no idea how he managed to get them home safely on that long plane trip home :confused3 Be sure to keep them out of the sun because the color does fade over time.

I didn't realize you had cut it so close to Cirque. It's on my "someday" list for sure! Glad you enjoyed it so much :)

Tron was a sci fi movie from the 80s by Disney, I don't think I've ever watched the whole thing, but I know I've seen bits of it - someone else probably knows the whole plot, but it had something to do with a computer game? And I thought I heard they were doing a remake?

Thanks GoofyWife. I will have to google that because the name Tron sounds familiar. A remake would be interesting.

Whew! You made it! Thank goodness! And wow! Cirque sounds absolutely incredible!

It really was good. The clips I posted don't even start to do it just. You just have to be there to experience it!

Totally agree about Cirque! We loved it and I'm so glad we decided to spend the money and go. Too bad you missed the pre-show, it was pretty funny, but at least you made it in time for the real show!

It was worth every penny! I would have liked to see the pre show. It looked like a lot of fun, but I am psyched we got to see the real show. I kept picturing all that money going down the drain.

I agree 100% about Cirque, totally worth the money!!!! Dh and I loved it so much we decided we want to see other Cirque shows so we are going to see ... OvO the new traveling Cirque show in Nov in Atlanta!!! I think it is going to be similar to a Bugs life because it is all bugs and how they live. I saw the performers on Regis and Kelly and I was hooked.. I am so excited!!!!!:dance3: cant wait for the next update!!

Kimi

:welcome: MiNiEDrEameR! That cirque show in Atlanta sounds really cool! I would not hesitate to see another cirque show, given the opportunity. The one in Vega uses this giant sand stage which is a technological wonder. I saw a really cool show on it. Simply amazing.

Glad you made it there and thoroughly enjoyed the show! :goodvibes

You should definitely put this on your Disney wish list. I can't imagine you guys not liking it!

:cool1: I'm so glad you made it! I figured you did because I remember a lot of late entries when DH and I went!

I'm so glad you like it! You know I loved it and DH, well, not so much! :lmao:

Looking forward to more!

What did you DH NOT like about it?????? I am curious. I didn't think anybody DIDN'T like Cirque.

Cirque sounds Ahhhh-mazing! :cloud9:

I'm so glad you were able to make it there for the show. Phew!

I think you and Marc would really like this show. Put it on your wish list for future trips!

If you can snag a DVC or AP discount, it is so worth it. You've probably got a 10 day trip coming up in October - plenty of time to see Cirque. ;)

I think you really need to see it live because the 3 dimensional aspect of the show does so much for its appeal. I highly recommend it for Disney fans because its something unique to do that enhances the whole experience.

Phew!!!! I was reading your update on your drive to DTD like I was right there with you!! Poor Chuck driving!!
:rotfl2: Yeah - I felt bad for Chuck, too, especially since he had to shuttle around obsessive, compulsive uber planner ME!

P
The Cirque show that I saw in Vegas was ahhhhmazing!!! I just sat there with my jaw dropped open...probably drooling :rotfl2: Such talent!! :thumbsup2

That's the one I saw on some special. I think its probably the mother of all Cirque shows. I would love to see it!

Glad you like my monorail pictures and, uhm, there will be no pictures of me in my nerdy uniform today! :rolleyes1

I can definitely see how the color would fade, especially near a window in the summer sun! Thanks for the warning.

I didn't realize you had cut it so close to Cirque. It's on my "someday" list for sure! Glad you enjoyed it so much :)

Yeah - it was one of those moments where I though, "well at least I have some drama for my TR". :rotfl:

YAY so glad you made it!! Cirque sounds like such an awesome show!! I really would love to see one of their shows someday!!!

So glad you enjoyed the show and made it on time!

About Tron the first one was made back in the 80s and is about a guy who makes a video game and gets stuck in it. The new one coming out this summer is about the guy who made the game's son finding the machine and getting sucked into it. So Disney decided to have the monorail as an advertisment for the new movie.

Can't wait for the next update!

Oh - you definitely should. I think you would LOVE it! It was really good. Normally I get antsy, but I never looked at my watch once until it was over!

ah hah! That explains the Tron logo. Thank you Caitlin. I am not up on all my Disney trivia. Sounds like a cute movie. I guess it could even make a good attraction - maybe a 4D attraction like Honey I Shrunk the Audience. In fact......Maybe it should take up that space! Wow...lightblub moment for me! :rotfl:

I'm so glad you made it to the show on time. You have now found your first person who did not like the show -- my husband. He saw it in Vegas and was bored out of his mind. :rotfl: I saw it a year after him in Vegas, and I slept through the first half. :rotfl2::lmao::lmao: But I have a very good excuse. I was with my best friend and she and I started at the MGM and walked the entire length of the strip during the afternoon. Of course, it was August and it was hotter than hot and we had at least one cocktail in every single casino down the entire strip. So by the time we went to the show, I was passed out. :lmao::lmao:

Yay so glad you made it to Cirque on time! I would love to see it, but DH has no interest in it, so I'm not going to force him if he doesn't want to. :confused3 Maybe someday I'll go by myself and he can take a long nap or something!

I have spent the last week reading your past trip reports - even skipping work that I needed to be doing at night so I could read!!

You are a great writer and it's safe to say I'm hooked. :thumbsup2

OMG, 12 pages to get through and pictures to add where appropriate or inappropriate.....However will I get it done?

Yay! Glad you made it to the show. I'm still debating if I should get tickets for our trip. I worry about my 8 year old sitting still that long!!:)

I've seen a few different cirque shows and have always been amazed. I would LOVE to see it but can't get my arms around the price for all 6 of us, or even 2 as a date night. LOVE that AP price, I would be all over that!

So glad you guys made it and you got to experience it, it is truly something special.

I think I would have passed out too under those conditions. :rotfl: That's a big reason I didn't want to go to the late show. I was afraid I would get too tired, especially if I went after a big meal.

There was a time when I didn't think I had much interest in going, but the more positive I heard about it, the more I decided to put it on my eventual "must see" list.

:welcome: Quacktatty! So glad to have you along for the ride. And what's this I see????....you have your own May 2010 TR going, which I will definitely need to check out! :thumbsup2

OMG, 12 pages to get through and pictures to add where appropriate or inappropriate.....However will I get it done?

All I can say is Get to Work!!!!!!!:rotfl:

I'm sure you'll find a way! :lmao:

He always comes through, doesn't he??????:worship:

Yay! Glad you made it to the show. I'm still debating if I should get tickets for our trip. I worry about my 8 year old sitting still that long!!:)

I am soooooo glad we made it! Phew! I do think an 8 yr old could easily sit through this show. I am a real fidgeter. I am always tapping my feet and shuffling around. I don't think I moved once except to drop my jaw. I think an 8 yr old would love it!

bmidisney - is this your first post on my TR? I wanted to give you an official welcome, but I am not sure if you posted before. Sorry...bmidisney sounds familiar, but if this is your first post let me know so you can get you official welcome.

With your budget, I would probably stay away from it, too. Especially if you have seen a few cirque shows. I was super pysched to get the discount price because I was prepared to pay full price.

Those were some GREAT monorail pics!! :thumbsup2 La Nouba looks incredible- I am sooooo happy you made it in time!! How was the parade? What was it for? Thanks for suggesting the other TR- I read a little and subbed to go back later- it looks like a good one. :goodvibes
