2025 Wine and Dine

A variation of the old W&D/SW map would be fun, makes for more variety among the half/10 miler courses.

The 2019 W&D is the best race course! Running through Pandora in the dark was awesome. I wish they brought back this course.

W&D didn't go through AK either of the times I did it (2022 and 2024)

I ran the W&D half in either 2016 or 2017 and I'm almost certain we passed thru AK cuz I think I used the restrooms there!

I don't want to run through Blizzard Beach parking lot... I have enough issues with it during the marathon... bah.... Man this is my first wine and dine and they are just sucking the fun out.

I did the marathon this year and honestly didn't think the Blizzard Beach parking lot was THAT bad. There was a DJ and a character stop there. That being said, I'd be annoyed if they're adding it so they can reduce park time in Hollywood Studios.

I never use the TTC except for transferring monorails. Isn't there security screening before people get on the monorail that could be used, and then make us walk a million miles to whatever Mickey-forsaken corner of the lot they're willing to give up to rD for a weekend?

And it probably wouldn't be any worse (possibly better?) than when they used to line us up on the highway with the actual (not just "feels like") mile long walk from the pre-race area to the start corrals.


This is a pretty interesting idea, and if it works out that they change it for MW, maybe that could be why we *still* don't have medals because they are planning to release maps with them?

I did the marathon to this year... nope... I don't like it at all... lol. The only way to make it better is by letting us go in to Blizzard beach... I always want more park time.. and hate running in circles in a parking lot.

And if they start the races in the TTC, maybe there would be less running through a maze in the TTC? That was the worst part of the marathon course, IMO

Just saw a post on a FB group I follow that those in the know are claiming some course changes that 1) are already unpopular with those privy to them, and 2) that this is driven by Park ops.

Any other intel on this?

For those craving news about W&D race weekend - a little rundisny birdie provided a few tidbits to ponder: Epcot management is still being PITA, and they are redesigning the Reunion Lot to allow for more parking spaces for park guests, which will also mean moving the beer tent and some of the entrance / exit for the Reunion Lot. Also some course changes, including no more running through the parking toll plaza at Epcot, and putting the Blizzard Beach parking lot into the half course. Because of Epcot mgmt, they are back to considering MK parking lot for future race starts too.

Entirely possible that the source of the FB post is just this (it also specifically mentions the reunion lot and parks ops) or something is getting around some other way.

Yep. Thanks for posting! The FB post did mention something about the reunion lots.

As far as an MK staging area, I feel like they’ve gone all in on Epcot as the staging area for all the races.
