Hi! I didnt know where to post this so I figured here was as good a place as any.
I'm Alice and I am in the beginning stages(ish) of planning my second and my boyfriends first trip to WDW. I am SO excited because there really is no place like it in the world. I am a little concerned as to how he is going to take it as he is a little conservative and I think Disney would be the last place in the world he would think to go on holiday. But he is a wonderful guy who wants to make me happy so he is willing to give it a go and try and understand why I love it so much.
Last time I went it was March 2002 for 3 weeks and it was with my parents and my brother and his girlfriend and we rented a lovely villa. This time it will be on September 28th and we are going with 2 friends of mine and I think I am as excited about that as I am about going to disney.
Oh and we are probably staying in a hotel, which I am not so excited about as I loved having our own little house to go back to every day.
As we couldnt get his holiday confirmed in time my friends have already booked their holiday and so I am having to catch up with them and book ours. Its fun to plan but you cant help thinking, is this the best deal.
The only thing I am dreading is the flight there. I am a bad flyer and also claustrophobic and as I suffer with anxiety my phobias are kind of doubled from what they are normally. When we went last time we were REALLY lucky and upgraded at the airport and up in premium economy it felt as though there were only 30 people on the flight, with lots of room, and also because we were higher up in the plane the turbulence wasnt such an issue...just thinking about the flight right now is making me feel panicey. I know we cant afford to upgrade so I am just going to have to find some way of getting through 9 hours on a plane....we had to turn down a free trip to Australia in January because I couldnt face the flight.
Actually thats not the only thing I am dreading, I am also REALLY dreading leaving my babies for 2 weeks; my 3 cats, Tilly, Charlie and Hetty. We should be able to have a friend of mine come and stay for the 2 weeks so they wont have to cope with a cattery.
But anyway...
I just cant wait to get back now. I will never forget the feeling of seeing Cinderella's castle for the first time and bottle feeding baby manatees at sea world. I just hope my other half loves it as much as I do because I cant think of anywhere in the world I would rather go year after year and hopefully, in the future, take my children to.
