But I just love the Holidays, so I started decorating last night for Christmas! I know, it's way too early, but I was in the mood and couldn't help myself! I put out my Nativity set on my fireplace and a few snowmen in one of the bookcases.

When does everyone else start decorating?

I think that's awesome!! I used to decorate for Christmas right after Halloween. I did it because I didn't yet have Fall decorations and I wanted my house to feel festive on Thanksgiving.
Now I wait until after Thanksgiving.

It's good to know I am not alone.

I just love my house to feel all holiday-ish, if that makes sense. Also, I'm going on vacation between Christmas and New Year's this year, and I didn't want to miss any time enjoying my decorations.

AFTER Thanksgiving...if at all. Dh and I have turned mildly humbug in our "old age". Really it boils down to motivation. We are so dog tired at the end of theday, the thought of putting up decorations is like torture.

I SOOOOOO love Christmas, and have so much Christmas stuff!! Unfortunately my house was messed up in the flood and I have to wait till it's finished to start my yearly decorating!!!

I start the minute the Thanksgiving dinner dishes are done.

I am listening to Christmas music right now. One of the radio stations started playing it so of course on it goes.

It gets me in the mood to clean and decorate.

We always have decorated before Thanksgiving.

You ain't crazy, I love decorating for the holidays and in the next couple weeks we'll be going through mama's basement deciding what to put up outside and getting the tree up (artificial). For outdoors we have blowups, lighted animated outdoor things, door stickers, colored AND white lights, awesome at night . I have 2 cats now, so I'm hoping the tree and ornaments stay intact, lol. I just had one last year and he only laid on the tree skirt all day, my new one is friskier.

OP, I just got all the carpets downstairs professionally cleaned Friday so I can start anytime with my Christmas decorating! I was hoping to hold out until after Thanksgiving but you have inspired me!

Yeah, I see there are more crazy decorators like myself - sweet!

I LOVE Christmas music as well - I've already warned the gal that sits near me at work that I'll have Christmas music on starting when we get back from Thanksgiving. Luckily she loves it too!

It's going to be a nice weekend here in Ohio, so we are going to put up our lights. Better to do it now then when it's 10 below!

No Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving, though. I have 4 cats and it just won't make it if I put it up sooner!

My mom thinks 'early' is the day after Thanksgiving, lol.

I put my tree and decorations up then...but DH doesn't like it one bit. He grew up where you put the tree up about 2 days before Christmas, and then it didn't come down til the end of January .

I prefer day after Thanksgiving, til day after Christmas...

We started the day after Halloween!!!!
our inside is all decorated for xmas, even a small lit xmas tree............we get a large real one so that has to wait a bit
outside is started, some lights are up and green balsam, but not done yet, i will do that a little slower

hubby decided since he had to take all the outside halloween down he would start right away on xmas

I will start putting stuff up next weekend! I love it! I try to put out the Christmas stuff in the middle of November, so I can enjoy it on Thanksgiving, too!
