You would think that living in a state where Daylight Saving Time is not observed, things would be less complicated. We've only been in Arizona for a little over a year, but wow, it's hard to get used to NOT changing the clocks.
Yeah, we always know the correct time here (and it doesn't change) but try keeping track of everywhere else, especially if you travel frequently to either coast throughout the year.
Arizona is always on Mountain Standard Time, but that becomes the same as Pacific Daylight Saving Time for part of the year. So, during DLST, Arizona is three hours behind EST, two hours behind CST, one hour behind MST, and the same as PST. The rest of the year, Arizona is two hours behind EST, one hour behind CST, same time as MST, and one hour AHEAD of PST. So, even though we are technically always on MST, because the rest of the states in MST observe DLST, we are really on a different time for part of the year, even in MST.
Sounds like a very complicated Math problem that I don't want to solve!
