I just love standard time.

I hate standard time. I always dread the day it starts each fall. I am sooo looking forward to Dec. 21 when the days start getting longer. I can't stand for it to be dark by 6:00 p.m. :sad1:

I get Seasonal Affected Disorder (SAD) in the winter. I get up at the same time but there's an hour less of sunlight now. I hate it. :sad1:

You would think that living in a state where Daylight Saving Time is not observed, things would be less complicated. We've only been in Arizona for a little over a year, but wow, it's hard to get used to NOT changing the clocks.:headache:

Yeah, we always know the correct time here (and it doesn't change) but try keeping track of everywhere else, especially if you travel frequently to either coast throughout the year.

Arizona is always on Mountain Standard Time, but that becomes the same as Pacific Daylight Saving Time for part of the year. So, during DLST, Arizona is three hours behind EST, two hours behind CST, one hour behind MST, and the same as PST. The rest of the year, Arizona is two hours behind EST, one hour behind CST, same time as MST, and one hour AHEAD of PST. So, even though we are technically always on MST, because the rest of the states in MST observe DLST, we are really on a different time for part of the year, even in MST.

Sounds like a very complicated Math problem that I don't want to solve!:rotfl:

Thank you very much, now I have a headache just reading about all that! :headache: ;) I lived in Arizona for a year for an exchange program and I have to agree...it was confusing! Beautiful state, but I sure wished they did time change like everybody else!

I love standard time, but this time change has been hurting me big time. I was up and ready to go at 3:30 this morning!! AHHHH! I can't wait for these next few days to pass.

I am also one who doesn't like it.

I do not mind going to work/school while it is dark. I hate coming home after work/school and it being dark already!

DD and I have so many after school activities and functions. When we come home now it feels so much later than it really is because it gets dark so early.

My son and his friend were so bugged tonight because they had to come in early. They love to ride their bikes around the neighborhood for hours a few evenings a week but since it was pitch black so early, they had to play indoors. We all hate it. It is finally cool enough to be outside but it is too dark now.
Where do you live. We've been freezing an in our houses at nite since September.

I wish Wisconsin would be in in the Eastern Time zone like the UP of Michigan. We would have daylight at least till 5:30-6:00 p.m at nite.
Shoot the sun starts going down at 4:00 p.m. I sure don't need daylite at 6:00 a.m. in the morning.

I HATE standard time. It was pitch black out when i got home a little after 6pm last night, and since I leave my house at 5:30am, all the daylight hours are spent at work. I actually cried yesterday when I got home, it was so depressing.

:thumbsup2 I agree! I love the summer days where its still light at 9pm!! I would be happy with that all year long!! I would take getting up and going to work in the dark anyway--who cares--its just going to work..I want it light out for the times I am home to enjoy it!
