I just got rejected...

I agree that they thought you were overqualified. I know when I worked in Retail Management they didn't want us hiring people with degrees for sale associate position because they figured the person would quit the minute they got a "real" job..meaning one in their field. It cost a lot of money to train someone, yes even a sales associate because during the training, you need to have double the number of people on the shift..the new person and the trained person.

Hope you get something soon.

I'm sure kylara is right. They figured they'd lose you in a few weeks.

Your to good for Starbucks anyway and I will never drink that coffee again. So there!

Hi. Sorry this is happening to you. Although I graduated college a long time ago, I had the same problem. I worked for a temp agency for a few months until I could find a permanent job in my field. I did various assignments for decent pay at several different companies, sometimes for a few weeks. It's also a good way to size up companies in your area and sometimes they like you enough to offer a full time job with them. Even though the temp agencies hate to lose a valuable person, like every other business, it's easier to leave them for a permanent job than other companies. Some of the temp agencies have employment services for full time work also and will help you find the job you want while temping. Another plus is that if you need time off to go on a job interview, you can say no to a temp assignment that conflicts with the time of the interview. You may want to check this out as an option. I worked for Kelly Services and I believe they have locations around the country. Also, Snelling is another name of an agency. Check the yellow pages in your area. Good luck!! I know how frustrating this is. :D

How about a tryout with the PATRIOTS Cheerleaders???? Good, honest, outside work:jester: :jester:

*HUGS* It's definitely their loss.

I agree that they're just thinking they'd lose you too soon. This is a traditionally slow time of year for finding a job, especially in this economy. The first of the year should be much better.
