I just got home from the ER

After I walked to class yesterday, I started having problems with coughing again. Tonight, I started coughing and having a lot of trouble breathing. Luckily, one of my roommates was home and he took me to the ER. I have pneumonia. The doctor sent me home with prescriptions for an antibiotic, cough medicine with codeine in it, and more Albuterol. So, I may not be on the boards for a few days.

Sorry to hear you are sick...My DD had pneumonia a few weeks ago and had to be on Pulmicort Respules through the Neb...It was not fun as she was very sick!

I'll get as much rest as I can....I'm not going to go to class tomorrow since I'm supposed to go to Student Health for a recheck.

I'm recuperating from the flu that turned into pneumonia. From what my doctor said, my asthma made it worse than normal. I was taking a double dose (doctor's orders) of a cough medicine with codeine and using a nebulizer with Albuterol every 4-6 hours. After almost a month of being sick, I'm finally feeling better although I still get exhausted very easily.
