I just dropped over $800 for a day at Canada’s Wonderland

When I went this summer we stayed at a suite hotel nearby and used Airmiles to pay for that. It was really nice to get away. There are two rides in the middle part that get long lines as the day goes on and no fastlane so I would suggest doing those first. I can't remember the names of them but hopefully someone else will say.
Thx! I’ll check the map and we’ll plan to hit the rides that we want with no Fl first (hadn’t even crossed my mind until you mentioned it!) 👍🏻

The 2 rides are the Bat and the Guardian. I wouldn't worry about lines to much as the park is pretty dead now since school is back

A cooler is a great idea!!! I think we’ll pack a ton of snacks (I’m gluten-free so I was thinking of how to navigate that) and fold down the seats in the back of the van at lunch. Thx!

You’ve probably already seen this, but they now have a dietary needs section on their website, including gluten friendly options.

Someone else already suggested the drink all day add-on. I think it’s a great deal, you can refill every 15 minutes, and I’ve seen people fill up their water bottles then refill again. You definitely don‘t need to buy it for everyone. Our kids got the seasons pass refills this year since they went often with their friends. So when DH and I joined them a few times, we would go get the drinks while they went on the rides. With our masks on, they couldn’t tell from the app photos we weren’t our kids, lol.

Thx! I was wondering if the drinks could essentially be shared. And for the GF menu as well! I hadn’t found it yet. Celiacs is a new diagnosis for me & this is my first time managing it outside our house & local takeout 😬

Aaaaaaand my school has active cases now. Pray that my nonrefundable tickets get used 😐

If you have dietary restrictions, I would highly suggest bring some of your own food into the park. The food options are very limited and I can image they are even worse now that we are in the "off" season. I hope you have a nice trip :)

We used the Fast Lane mid August. The crowds that week were very high. ( compared to when we went in July when the park was at 25% capacity) We arrived at the park 30 minutes before they officially opened. Went through security and scanned our passes. Took pictures at the front and then made our way to the right in direction of Leviathan. They hold you back at one point until the park officially opens. In that area, many people sat where they could, but we went as far to the front so that when we could go in we were near the front of the pack. Fast Lane distribution kiosk was right beside Leviathan. We walked quickly and managed to get there with only a few families in front of us. Had our bands in less than 5 minutes. As we turned to walk away, I saw a line-up as far as the eye can see. Not sure how long that would actually take!

I had the dining and drinks attached to my season pass. For some reason, the scanners at the food kiosks and drink stations could not read the barcode from my phone. Luckily I had a printed copy with me, those worked great. They had different scanners at the front gate, those worked perfectly with my phone.

At the drink stations, they handed out disposable cups without lids. I had brought our refillable cup from LaRonde and poured our drinks into there. So much easier to walk around with.

As for food, I believe ( not 100% sure) that needs to be left in the car. We saw security accept plastic water bottles, but not much else.

Have a great time.:)

Awesome! Thx!!

Made it through! Between the 4 of us we’re exposed to 8 different classes of 20-30 kids from 3 different towns/cities in a 2 week period - 200 kids plus all of their contacts :scared1:. Add in the fact that my boys were put in a 6/7 split with all the 6s unvaccinated… :scared: We already have an entire high school closed here for confirmed spread.

I think we timed it just right 😮‍💨. I also think that my anxious self will be traveling in the summer only for a while. This Maman is too high strung for this much uncertainty:rotfl:

I’ll report back on how we make out. Thx for the tips everyone:drive:

We had an awesome day! Rode most of our most wanted rides before we were too pooped. What a gorgeous day too. No humidity, nice breeze, sunny 😍

Food service was definitely sloooow, but we went looking early and got through fairly quickly 👍🏻 The GF chicken tenders at Backlot were yummy!

My old body is paying for multiple rides on flight deck:crutches:I wish we had made reservations for supper ahead, but made a quick stop at Walmart for pop, chips & plates & just grabbed Domino’s (pretty good Gf crust from there 👍🏻). CWL is an awesome park (I liked it better than Cedar Point personally). Definitely making plans to return. Thx for the tips everyone ❤️

Glad you had a good day. I personally love Cedar Point a lot more then Wonderland. They have much better and more intense coasters. It also helps they have on of the best coasters in the world in Steel Vengeance.
