Hi everyone. I'll start this off with a quick introduction. My name is Angela, I am currently 23 years old. On December 13th, I will graduate college with a Bachelor's Degree in Radio/TV with an Emphasis on Video-Audio Production and a minor in Political Science.

On October 2nd, 2014, I found out I was accepted to my SECOND Disney College Program! I was accepted as a Photopass Photographer for Spring Advantage 2015. My program will be from February 2nd to August 7th, 2015! I got accepted for my top role! yay!

As for my first program. I was an Attractions Cast Member at The Boneyard in Dinoland U.S.A. at Disney's Animal Kingdom from January 20th to August 8th, 2014.

Once February 2nd gets here, this thread will probably be closed and I will start a new one in the Trip Reports board detailing my college program.. I had thought about making a blog to do this, but tumblr confused me. I thought remembering everything on a Message Board would be better since I have more experience on these than tumblr, and I couldn't think of a better place than The DIS. Hope you all enjoy reading it

Alright, everyone!!! My first post for my Pre Trip Report for the DCP.

On August 20th, applications were opened. I applied on the first day. Here is a timeline of my wait period through the application process.

~August 20th, 2014: Submitted online application
~August 20th, 2014: Took and Passed my Web-Based Interview
~August 20th, 2014: Scheduled my Phone Interview for August 24th.

I began this process at approximately 1:05 PM and everything was set by 5:48 PM for my Phone Interview on August 24th.

~August 24th, 2014: I had my DCP Phone Interview. It was scheduled for approximately 1:15 PM Central Time, and my recruiter called me at 1:13 PM. We talked for 33 minutes.

She asked me the normal questions, "why i want to go back to disney", "what would i do differently this time", etc. Then we talked about my top 3 roles which were 1. PhotoPass Photographer, 2. Concierge, and 3. Character Attendant.

NOW, it's time for the waiting game to being. September was a very long month. I waited just around 5 & 1/2 full weeks before I heard back from Disney. Will I be going home???


YES!!!

On October 2nd, I received the CONGRATULATIONS email that said i was accepted for Spring Advantage 2015!!! Not only was I accepted for my second program, this time, I found out I got my top number one role choice: I GET TO BE A PHOTOPASS PHOTOGRAPHER!!!!!! I was so happy. I didn't think I would get it. Especially because I didn't get it on my first program and I felt my interviews were pretty similar both times. I could not be more excited to go to Disney now!!!

I was offered an acceptance on a Thursday, and took care of finalizing everything that upcoming Sunday night.

I now have my arrival date!!! I will officially be in Disney from February 2nd to August 7th, 2015.

The hard part is done!!! Now I can go back to focusing on my classes and upcoming college graduation without stressing out constantly.

That's basically it for my application process to my acceptance!

Up next will be a combination of planning my drive down to Florida, getting roommates finalized, figuring out where to stay a day or two before checkin, and packing.

Until then, I will be busy doing loads of homework. Yay for being in senior level college classes lol. Hope you enjoyed my first offical update!
