I just bought BLT...

I just purchased BLT on October 30 and did not get any developer points.
They told me the only incentive was the $ off. I kept asking, too. But I guess they know they have me.
I used developer points a couple of time and it is one time and had one year to use them. When you call for reservations you need to tell them you are using developer points.

200 points? To Add on!!! That's awesome! How do you make enough trips/afford airfare enough to do that? Josh and I are figuring that with the coupla extra points we'll have each time that we'll eventually be able to get a 1-BR or if we ever skip a year, a big ol family 2BR trip.

How do you all manage with so many points?

DH and I go to WDW between 3-4 times a year. We stay three of the stays for approx. 8-10 day and take one trip in the summer for 4-5 days. Each time we stay in a one bedroom. I book airfare 9-11 months out to get a good rate. With AP the only thing we need to pay for each trip is the airfare and food (which a lot is eaten in the room).

Wow, that's incredible. FH isn't impressed by Developer points, he can't understand why we would want to go 3 times in one year. Disney's slowly growing on him....

No, they just started the DPs a couple days ago... I just held out because I knew I wanted more than just the 5 bucks off; and once I heard the minimum buy in would be 200 points in January.... Well let's just say it made my decision a swift one!

I forgot to mention that my BLT was add on. Are the developer points offered with this type of sale? I am new to the DIS board. I just found out about it when I was listing my VWL. An agreement I had with my husband in order to purchase the BLT. Now I'm having second thoughts on the agreement.

I just left a message with my guide about getting the developer points for my add on. I'm really thinking about cancelling it if I don't get them. It's not a big deal for me to get a tile. I bought a paver back in 1996 and it's at the end of path. After reading the contract for BLT it seems it has changed since my first contract. Has any one noticed a difference? Just wanted to THANK (R). I've read alot on this site, but as you can see I haven't posted. I am a BIG DISNEY fan. I've been to WDW 7 or 8 time this year, just got back Nov 2.

Yes I signed the papers on October 30 while I was at WDW.
I just got a return call from my guide.
He said they just got word about the incentive last Wed.
He already add my developer points to my account. He knows I would have cancelled, because I seem to always miss out on incentives.
Also, said there doing it one contract at a time don't know if it's only if you call. I would recommend anyone that has signed a contract within the last 2 weeks call.
