I hope the Treasure is not like the Wish

The lack of a running/walking deck is the single most disappointing aspect of the ship.

That said, the rest of it I found absolutely beautiful and wonderful. I'm not sure what the issues around a lack of adult district really are, there are so many adult spaces on the ship and enjoyable places to visit.

I think because it lends itself so well to stage adaptation. For some reason, they don't want to do many of the classic shows. Many of the newer shows just don't lend themselves to musical adaptations as easily....
I still have my fingers crossed the third show will be Moana. Great musical numbers ("Shiny" would be so fun!), and I think the projection technology they introduced on the wish would allow some really gorgeous backdrops

and all that wonderful technology yet they still created the mess that is their little mermaid production.... It amazes me that has not been significantly altered.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that about the little mermaid. Unfortunately, they haven't made any good movies lately that could turn into musicals.

They've got plenty of movies available to them, though. Somewhat recent ones include Encanto, Coco, and Moana. And hey, they can always try Frozen II.

People said the little mermaid show was bad. I didn’t believe them until I seen it last week. They have a little mermaid part in at least one show I think dreams, which is excellent. Somehow they messed up the little mermaid show. Plus does anyone else think it’s odd that Ursula was prettier than the little mermaid? I was thinking that just about the whole show and we were walking out I heard another person say it.

I enjoyed the little mermaid show. The Ariel we had on our sailing was phenomenal, though, so I expect it depends a lot on the quality of the performers on a given sailing. But I agree costume and set design were a bit meh so a missed opportunity there for sure.

If they were going to recycle a show for the treasure, it also occurs to me Tangled from the Magic would have been a good choice. That’s my favorite show we’ve seen on a disney ship and certainly more “adventure” themed than beauty and the beast.

I’d love to see Hunchback. Never got to see it at a park, though I read it was good (both at DL and DHS).
The reviews were positive with some saying it was the best stage show at Hollywood Studios and a must see. I agree.

It lasted for over six years.

I was an already a CM at the time and whenever I stopped by it was well attended.

I think Pocahontas would be great, but perhaps not PC enough. It could easily translate.

Years ago didn't they do Hercules? They could bring that back as a possibility.

They could also do Anastasia now that they own Fox.

Enchanted also comes to mind as something that could be done well.

I'm also amazed they won't do a Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella, etc. I imagine they could be big hits!

Has Mary Poppins been done at sea? That also seems very doable...

Hunchback is one of the best, but I don't know if it really goes with the "cruise line" feel and audience. Very serious.

I imagine there are also weird rights issues when they do these shows. I found it interesting for the Aladdin show they include the song written for Jasmine in Disneyland but none of the songs from the Broadway show or the new live-action motion picture for example. I imagine there has to be a reason for that.

I said good movies.
Oh, right. I forgot that only you get to decide which movies are good ones.

There's a Cinderella show on the Magic called Twice Charmed. It's not exactly the same as the movie, but I don't think that they're likely to have two different Cinderella shows. So, if they make a new show that's more like the movie, then they'll need another new show for the Magic, too.

Didn’t like the little mermaid on the wish.
Hunchback at WDW was excellent.
Hercules, we saw on the wonder many many years ago was really good.
We like Aladdin but we’ve seen it too many times.

I agree-we did not like the Wish, especially the layout. Love the Dream & Fantasy.

We love the Dream and Fantasy as well! Does the Wish have the detective agency or something in its place. My kids want to do the DA over and over again!

Yes of course I get to decide which movies I think are good or bad. Is that a serious question?

Yes, there's a new game called Disney Uncharted Adventure. It still uses wall art, but it also uses mobile phones, the AquaMouse, and other stuff.
