I hope the Treasure is not like the Wish

I've heard horror stories about the Wish's elevators going to specific floors and depends on which elevator bay you use.
Just to be clear - the elevators aren't that much of a challenge. It's only when you are at the aft elevators and want to get up to Palo/Enchante that you have the issue of getting an elevator that goes all the way up there. For any other use of the elevators it's never an issue.

They also didn’t share anything about... what the stage shows will be.
The stage shows are Beauty and the Beast (shown in the reveal video), Seas the Adventure (confirmed either at the reveal Q&A or D23, I forget which), and one brand-new show that has not been announced.

I did not read all the replies here. But I sailed the Wish last fall and it is goregous!! It is so special. I wish all the ships were like. Now I love the other ships, but the Wish had so much more to offer and that's a good thing.
I am hoping to sail on it again in a couple years. I want to do Concierge and I think my wallet can only handle the short cruise.

I was shocked after I sailed the Wish, thinking back on negative views. I thought, wow, petty and spoiled. But that is just my 3 cents.

On the Dream in a month out of NYC, can't wait for that. Any Disney ship is a great thing!!

The Treasure is supposed to be pretty much the same layout with some new perks. I am sure it will not disappoint, just as the Wish did not.

Happy sailing.!!

I loved the Wish. It is very different from the classic ships but I didn't have any trouble navigating the new layout and the theming is exactly what I want in a Disney ship. I understand not everyone will agree! I'm glad I tried it and I appreciated the feedback both positive and negative before I cruised so I knew what to expect, and I knew most of the negatives for others would probably not be a negative for me. I'm looking forward to sailing on the Treasure.

I had mixed but mostly good feelings after our first cruise on the Wish. Then we went on the Fantasy and went on the Wish a second time and I am officially a Wish cheerleader now. On the fantasy we really missed the Wish’s dining entertainment—makes the long dinner so much more enjoyable. What they did with the design of the lounges (eg Bayou, the Rose and Nightengales) is just incredible—so gorgeous. And the family pool area is a huge upgrade on the Wish—no more people soup.

We did not do concierge (too pricey for us) but those that we did that we talked to loved it. They said the amenities in the concierge lounge and sundeck were far superior to the other ships.

Another family that did not like the Wish. The lack of a running deck, small noisy dining rooms, small adult area, and overall layout was enough that I wouldn't sail on her again...at least not without a discount.

I wonder why Beauty and the Beast when it's been on the Dream for years. You would think they would come out with something new. If the theme is adventure that doesn't seem to fit.

The Wish also has a repeat show with Aladdin from the Fantasy. And, the Fantasy has a repeat show with Frozen from the Wonder. So, it's not surprising that the Treasure has a repeat show with Beauty and the Beast from the Dream.

The Treasure will also have a new show that hasn't been revealed, yet.

I find it interesting you’ve come to dislike something just by a video without the experience. I for one am glad I didn’t listen to all the negativity here about the Wish. It was indeed a beautiful ship, bright where the others come across as a bit darker. I didn’t care for the size of our room but we enjoyed the trip. Are the differences enough that it‘s noticeable such as the buffet layout? yes. Is it enough to bash it and say I’ll refuse the Treasure and never sail on the Wish again? Absolutely not. I for one am glad I step to the beat of my own drum and not others or I would have missed out. If one goes into something looking for issues, you’ll find it. I’m a firm believer that one should experience something themselves and decide for themselves. There’s been a lot of opinions about the ship compared to others that I’m surprised there’s yet another negative Wish post all from a you tube video. And I’m sure you’ll find plenty of folks who agree with you but that’s my 0 cents worth. 🤷‍♀️ On a side note, there seems to be a lot of negativity going around lately. Holy smackers.
We went on the Wish in November for a B2B cruise. We absolutely loved it. We stayed in the accessible one bedroom. It was absolutely breathtaking. We loved the rotational dining, didn't think we would like the Marvel one, but it was fun, food was good. The concierge lounge and crew members were amazing. They never forgot our names or what we liked to drink. Every crew member on that ship always had a smile on their face and something pleasant to say. By the time our second cruise started, we were very familiar with the ship and layout, and never had a problem getting around. I loved every minute on that ship, and we are sailing again next September for my birthday. So looking forward to it. Then the next cruise we will sail on the Treasure. It will be easy to get around on that ship as it has the same layout. And, by the way, loved, loved, LOVED Marceline Market. Food was amazing, and I loved that the crew members dished out your food for you. So clean and neat...everything looked amazing. I have nothing at all to say bad about that ship. And that is why we are going back!!!

I’m not surprised that it is a repeat show but I do think it is a bit odd what they chose to repeat for the specific ships—seems like Aladdin would be a much better fit on the Treasure (which after all has an an aladdin themed lobby and staterooms) while Beauty and the Beast fits in better on the Wish (which is more princess themed overall).

I enjoyed the Wish more than I thought I would. The adult section does leave a lot to be desired, like HA access to an adult pool. I do hope that is fixed on the Treasure.

We have a Merrytime cruise on the Wish because I want to explore her some more. I loved the mosaics and art in the common areas. Tiana’s mural in our bedroom was the best stateroom decor we ever had, IMO!

We;re going on the Wish three weeks from today. We've actually never been on the Dream or Fantasy, just the Magic and Wonder so I'm sure the size will be a bit of a shock. We're hoping to sail the Treasure in 2025.

I also find this to be true on the Wonder and Magic

My main complaint about the Wish is her itineraries. We live in Vancouver and 3-4 night itineraries don’t appeal much to us because it’s not worth the travel. Our previous two cruises were 14 and 11 night long. I’m glad the Treasure will be doing the 7 nights.

Thanks for sharing perspective on the Wish, everyone. As I said in the original post, I am not trying to be condescending nor am I bashing anyone. I never said I wasn't willing to sail on the Treasure, especially since it may be the only option for 7 day cruises, so we likely will try it out in 2025.

For me, it was also an issue trying to get down. I was trying to catch the elevator from right behind the AquaMouse. Waited what felt like forever (since there's only one elevator that stops on that level), and no elevator came. No stairs there either to just take down. Finally I gave up, went back out to the pool deck, and navigated my way to the other elevators. Not a huge deal, but enough to be memorable (and slightly annoying).

The overall layout/design won't change much from the Wish if at all. When they order ships it's two or three at a time to cut down on costs, so the structure is basically set for all the ships in that order. When the Wish first came out a lot of people complained about the elevators but the Wish and Treasure have more elevators than the previous ships, just in two places instead of 3 now.
Between the two new ships the theming of the Treasure has me more intrigued than the Wish. But i doubt i will sail with Disney again. I found the experience, when we went on the Fantasy a few years ago, to be on par with the other cruise lines we have sailed on. So i doubt we will shell out the cash Disney asks for when we have just as good of a time, or better on other cruise lines that don't charge near as much and offer better itinerary's.
I look forward to the tours of the new Treasure though.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. It doesn't change my opinion on repeating shows.

The Treasure will have the same layout as the Wish, but seemingly a very different theme. It looks like it'll be darker colors with more wood, maybe more cozy and rugged than bright and modern.

We never really looked into the Wish since we prefer longer cruises. I finally watched a You-Tube video with a full tour of the Wish and I was so disappointed. We have only been on the Dream and the Fantasy and we love both with the decor, the layouts, the staterooms and just the overall warm feeling. The Wish seems too contemporary and cold. The verandah stateroom didn't seem to have nearly the storage of that on the Fantasy. Also the 1 bedroom suite on the Wish has a strange layout and doesn't seem nearly as luxurious as the Fantasy. Please understand that I realize everyone has different tastes and I don't mean to be condescending towards those who love the Wish. I'm hoping that the Fantasy will continue to do 7 night and longer cruises. Anybody in agreement or is there something wrong with me, lol?
Totally agree! I was expecting the Treasure to be the same, but with different theming. Had my fingers crossed that some bigger changes could be made to the third. Disney got our hopes up on our June Dream cruise. It was announced to the Pearl, Platinum, and Gold cruisers that “due to feedback from CAST and cruisers that LOTS of changes were coming to the Treasure.” Everyone erupted in loud cheers and applause. I do not think cast or cruisers complained about the theming. Was so disappointed in the Treasure reveal.

Even Tangled would be a better fit on the Treasure than BatB.
