so what'd I miss?

I used to read and post here quite a bit back in the day, but that was before my daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia last October. She was 2 1/2 at the time and I am happy to say that at 3 1/2 she is a major superstar! We are so proud of her and she is kicking those cancer cells' butts! We still have a long road ahead of us but we are confident in our doctors knowledge, our nurses caring and compassion and amazing skill, our family's strength, the will of our daughter (and her brothers too!)and of course, the blessings we have recieved from above, that she WILL beat this thing.
Anyway, here we are with 2 years worth of points and a vacation to plan! I had to come back and see how things at DVC are going.
Thanks to all of you have emailed and kept Julia in your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful.
Now let's see how should I spend these points????

I have to laugh, becase no sooner did I post that I haven't been here in almost a year and I go a few posts down and there is the infamous "DVC max occupancy" thread. As much as things change, they stay the same, huh?

Hi Tommy - good luck and prayers to you all. I hadn't been on these boards for many years - so don't know your story. I used to moderate here - but have had busy years behind me.

If I were you, I would use every single one of those points doing whatever you would love to do most. Maybe WDW and the cruise, or WDW and Vero, or HH. Or maybe a short trip wdw and another short trip closer to home. So many choices, and i'm glad you've all came through to be able to make them. God Bless.

Tomskatt, I have thought about you so many times, and wondered how Julia was doing. I'm glad to hear she is doing well. I'm sure you don't remember, but when I posted to your original thread, I told you that DD6's best friend also has Leukemia. She was diagnosed about 2 years and 4 months ago. She had her last IV chemo this month, and will go back for her bone marrow check in a couple of weeks. We are praying that the bone marrow is cancer free. The little girl and her family are currently at AKL enjoying the lights and animals. I hope you all can take that much needed trip soon. Please continue to keep us posted about Julia.

Thank you everyone! Erin, I will be keeping your little friend in my prayers. I cannot wait to get to that 2 1/2 year mark with our Princess! I have to laugh because, no sooner did I send the post about making choices with our points, then Jullia came to tell me she wanted to go on the "Disney boat" for her special wish. I looked at her 2 brothers standing behind her (5 & 7) and said, "Hmmmmmm, how do you know Disney has a boat honey?" There were the 2 guys with the vacation planner we recieved last week!
My favorite place to go is HHI in July! I just love it there and is part of the reason we made the move to the Carolinas! Now that we relocated to NC, it is just a short drive and I am going to have to push for that. Maybe next year when she won't have to break for chemo! AHhhh it is so nice to be able to think like this again! Thanks again all!
