We had our Family Support Meeting last night and the highpoint was the video that our Marines had made for their families. Bobby sat there on a stack of sandbags, with an American Flag stretched behind him. All the while he was speaking, you could here helicopters overhead and the wind blowing - but we could still SEE him and HEAR him and that's all that mattered!!
He told us that he loved us, missed us, to please send Triscuits and to pet the dog for him. We laughed and we cried!!!
I also have my first photographs - from two rolls of film that he sent home to us. I scanned them this morning and I'll post a few of them here for you to see. One is of Bobby in his "hooch", one is of him in full combat gear and the third one is of him and his best friend Nick (who I know a few of you adopted). You can see in a couple of these photos, the "bag" worn on their hip - this contains their gas mask, which is with them at all times.
