I have passports... now what?

I am currently in possession of my paper 5-day passports for our trip in August. What do I do with those to make FP+ reservations? How do we get the Magic Bands. Do I have the order backwards? Bands first, then reservations?

All info as to how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Enter them into MyDisneyExperience. That should, maybe, give you the AP window for FP+ (though I don't know when that window opens).

I don't think you will get AP MBs until you have an activated AP. So MBs would come into play if you have an onsite reservation.

When you make a reservation at a WDW resort, you will be able to customize your bands up until 30 days prior to arrival. You need to link your tickets to My Disney Experience to make FP+ reservations 60 days before your arrival. If you are staying offsite, you can make FP+ reservations 30 days prior but won't get to customize bands. You will need to purchase them when you arrive.

Customize? Are you referring to decorating the MBs? I am only looking to make Fast Pass plans and, I guess, to acquire the MBs.

Do the MBs show up in the mail so we have to pack them? Do we get them upon arrival?

We are staying on property at BLT.

If you have a resort booked you can go on MDE and pick your color and what name for each band in your party. Your tickets have to be linked to MDE to make you're fast passes 60 days before. They will mail them to you and then you bring them with you.
