I have not kept up to date on OKW Pool Changes - help please

Will the OKW main pool renovation be done by May 05?

Also, will it have a zero entry area?

They are shooting to have the pool done for Christmas -- early January so you should be fine for May.

There's been some guessing that it might include zero-entry but I don't think Disney has ever mentioned that. I haven't seen anything "official" stating that they are changing the pool entry so I wouldn't count on that.

The pictures that DOC has posted don't look like it will include zero entry.

We were able to see behind the fence last week, and it does not appear they are doing anything special with the pool itself. They didn't have any of the slide up yet either. There were big tubes coming out of the ground where it will be, but that was it. They had a covered scaffold around the light house too, and seemed to be painting that.

Thanks all - we are going to stick with SSR for now then and see how the pool progresses and maybe switch out if space is still available once the pool is reopened and the features and design are clearer.

My 2 DS's love the shallow entry areas at Stormalong Bay and AKL so zero entry pool has become a priority for us.

That is what is great about DVC - flexible enough to accomodate my families changing preferences
