Yes, but Dan has been on these boards a long, long, long time and he only wants the tag that he has put in-rightfully so. The tag fairy comes along every once in a while and decides to go against his wishes and he gets another tag. Then he asks them to stop, but it doesn't. Since we don't know anything about the tag fairy, we don't know if it is the same one that keeps annoying him, or maybe a new one. Either way, Dan is a super nice Diser, one of the nicest, and for something to tick him off like this is a big deal.

Dan, have you ever talked to the mods about this? Is seems to be borderline harassment?

A tag is a quote of something you posted here on the DIS. They put it over <--- there under your name in color.

A tag fairy is a mod who puts it there.

I don't know exactly, but from the words he uses in these posts, you can tell they put something in it that made him mad. Since the tag fairy is a mystery to us all, I don't really know if there is intent. By the time Dan has started a thread about it, he has removed the tag fairy's tag. I don't dare ask him what he was tagged with.

Dan, I'm sorry if seems like we are talking about you. I wish the TF would stop bothering you. I would believe that the mods/webmasters know who it is, I'm sure it's not a self appointed job!

Plenty of posters can remember that Dan doesn't want to be 'tagged' - at this point, it's rather obvious that one or more mods are doing it intentionally.

However, this makes me wonder about something. Forgive my ignorance, as the only tags I've ever had are ones I put there myself. I change them periodically, but I never noticed if when I give myself a new tag, it goes onto all of my posts (like when you change your sig) or it changes for all posts made going forward.

So my point is, if tags stay on the posts you made when you had them, it would be difficult to ignore tags you didn't want.

I don't know why they can't simply respect his wishes.
