When we were at the parks this weekend we were reading through some of the flyers and one of them has been bugging us since we read it. We are not from Canada, but we were disturbed by something we read on the Disney Dreams Giveaway flyer. It list the different things you could win, how to win, etc... Then on the very bottom of the flyer, in fine print it states " For residents of Canada, a mathematical skill-testing question must be answered correctly to win any prize" :confused3 Why is this so, why only Canadians ? If anybody knows why, could you please help clear up this confusion. Thank you !

I saw this discussed before and it has something to do with Canadian regulations, I think. I don't think its a really hard, calculus type test, just a couple of simple questions that turns it into a contest of skill rather than a game of chance. I'm sure someone will happen along with a more official answer, but it was something about Canadian contest laws.

You said it perfect Novdisneydreams! It has to do with Canada's "sweepstakes" regulations & EVERY ballot we sign up on typically has some sort of a "skill-testing question" along the lines usually of: 40 + (2 x 9) - 12 = _____, or something there abouts! I've often wondered if, when someone's name is pulled for one of these "sweepstakes", if the answer is incorrect, are they still given the prize? Wouldn't that just suck....."you win an all expense paid trip for four to DW....oh, sorry...the answer is 46, not 366"....:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Why do you have to answer to this?
