I have a question regarding intimate.
We have exactly 18 guest, however I would like to invite the officiant to participate in the whole experience. Is that extra? Can it be done? Thanks.

What are you planning on for after the wedding? If you are just going to do a dinner, I don't think there's any restriction of 18 guests. Since it's an intimate, you technically don't get a "reception" the dinner is separate and shouldn't be restricted to the 18 guests. But you may want to call and check. We're doing a dessert party and were told that the guest count has to be within the 18 guests. But I think that has to do with the fact that our coordinator is planning it.

Like Sparkles said, if you are having a dessert party through DFTW (and you have to to wear your dress in the park) then your guest count has to stay at 18 (plus you and DH).

However, if you are having a dinner at a resort, like we are, then you can have as many as you would like. In fact, we have some guests landing too late to attend the wedding, but will be joining us for dinner at Citrico's. The dinner is all planned by you, not DFTW.

Good luck!! :thumbsup2

yes, like Cinderella Fan said, if you plan a dinner at a resort you can have as many people as you would like. and even though DFTW doesn't have to have anything to do with planning your resort reception dinner, they can definitely take care of it for you. we are having a reception at California Grill with 25 people (even though we are only having 18 at our actual intimate ceremony), and our wedding coordinator has reserved the Napa Room and taken care of all the details for us so far.

but make sure of one thing--your officiant DOES count as one of your 18 guests. at least that is what my wedding planner has told me on more than one occasion. so i don't want you to be surprised by that and have to change your guest count all around if you already didn't know! :goodvibes

but if you want some help taking care of making your dinner reception reservations, just ask your planner. she should be more than able to help you. and it's ONE less thing for you to have to deal with!!

best of luck with your planning!!

We were told that our officiant didn't count on the guest list if they came from Disney's prefered list of officiants. Is your officiant from the list that Disney provided?

ours is not from the list, but i had thought that our planner told us from the beginning that that didn't matter. but it's very possible that i am wrong. if i am, i am sorry for any stress my reply might have caused!
