I haven't heard the Sade song, but my mind kept useless bits o' trivia like Donny Osmond's comeback song in the 90s. It would be funny if that's the same song in a different arrangement.

I'm actually the one that loves the Great American Songbook singers.

John leans towards 80's and techno-y stuff....but loves music.

I tend to become to become obsessed with certain songs and play them repeatedly until people want to slap me.

I think John's and my musical taste must run along the same lines. I really like a wide variety of music, but I love the new-wave 80's stuff. In fact, I'm listening to a new wave station right now at work through Itunes.

That's the FIRST thing I thought of too! I remember when that song released by a "mystery singer" and the radio stations didn't know or wouldn't say who it was until it was a hit and then it came out that it was Donny.

I haven't heard the Sade song either. Interesting.

I do the same thing, but with one or two songs. Currently it's Adam Lambert's two singles. Yes, I caved and bought his CD. It is my guilty pleasure for the year. lol

This is so funny. Every once in awhile I hear a song and I too need to play it in a constant loop like an addict. Last weekend I started listening to Empire State of Mind, Part II by Alicia Keys. She borrowed Jay-Z's song and made a ballad of her own. It captures the very essence of the big city. Now I have to listen to it with earphones so I don't annoy the rest of the household.

Btw, I love love love Sade. She hasn't aged a bit since her Diamond Life album in the 80s. My favorite Sade song of all time is Frankie's First Affair.
