I have a March UY, and just bought some points direct today.

Did you try modifying again Bobbi? I think that was just a website glitch vs not having paperwork done. I ran into it once this weekend as well. Waited a few minutes and tried again. That should probably be a notation with everything on the DVC website.
I haven’t tried again, but I wil!
 
They banked them for me. If I have a March trip to this home resort, can I have them use these banked points instead of some current UY (‘22) points that I used when I booked the reservation.

If I can, I could then bank those points I originally used. I didn‘t ask the CM I just used to bank, because she wasn’t sure I COULD bank the new points. So, I figured she may not know the answer to this question.

Right now I am chewing nails trying to use the modify feature to change my studio night into a 1 bedroom. I can't get past the dwarves for the last hour!

Meanwhile I'm on 'hurry up and wait' for a MS person. Supposed to be 40 minutes.

Most of my trip is a one bedroom. Then I saw a night in a studio pop up so added it. Now, there is a 1 bedroom available but the website just won't work!!!!

In my almost 22 years of owning DVC this has been my most frustrating booking experience. And that's including trying to book food and wine in November.

So exasperating!!!!!!

@bobbiwoz - here's hoping you are able to do what you want with your new points.

Quoting myself here. MS finally answered and I had a successful call.

They were able to change my studio night into a 1 bedroom, then combine it with my other 1 bedroom nights into a continuous or combined 5 night reservation. So we are good to go and will be there starting Sunday. The whole process took over 2 hours with the first hour being waiting for a castmember to answer, and then waiting for the help on the other end that my CM had to call. Meanwhile the website gave them issues with slowness as well. The CM stayed pleasant and helpful through it all and they were not the issue. The actual combining part was not too long, maybe 10 minutes, and the other party answered in a couple of minutes. The delay came with the slow website response.

The issue is the system. It's set up for us to help ourselves in situations like this but the dwarves wouldn't let me do the work. There is nothing complicated about modifying if the room you want is available and you have the points, other than having it default to dwarves repeatedly.
