We will be in Disney next week, and are planning to go on Stitch's Great Escape for the first time, HOWEVER, my DH and DD have very weak stomachs as far as smells go. Could someone please tell me when they should cover their noses for the chili dog smell?

If you don't want to spoil the fun for anyone else, could you PM me with the info??

I can just see my DD hurling in the middle of the ride!!!! :sad2:

TIA,

deb

They could spray fabreez in a hankerchief before they enter and keep it in the pocket untill needed... then just hold it to their noses... just a thought from a dude with an uncanny ability to smell things humans shouldn't be able to smell... but an iron stomach to go with it!

Hate to tell you, but the smell lingers. It's gross. If your DH and DD are at all sensitive, just skip it :rolleyes2 . It's not a great attraction, the wait time is horrendous, and it's just downright disappointing. I made my DD go, and she barely spoke to me for the rest of the day (just kidding!). She really didn't like it, and neither did I. She was 11 at the time.

I'd skip it all-together, and ride Space Mountain or Buzz Lightyear twice.

Not sure if this ride is worth taking the chance....I'd skip it.

I don't know if it's been changed or if I got lucky, but the smell was really toned down over the weekend. I hardly noticed it--the smell was the one big reason why I had never gone on it, although it was definitely a one time only ride for me. It was ok, but something I don't feel the need to do again.

Having said all that, I was sitting in the front row, so maybe the smell was stronger in the back rows? Also, Stitch does a lot of chewing, so your DH & DD could start taking shallow breaths before, then hold their nose or breath soon after.

Hope that helps a little. :goodvibes

To me it reminded me of what my kitchen smells like after putting a lean cuisine Fiesta Grilled Chicken in the microwave :) HTH!

I have an aversion to gross smells, don't get sick on it but does make my stomach turn a bit. I have been on it before and I could smell the lingering of the smell upon entry. I don't think it's an attraction worth taking them on just so they can hold their breath, and await that moment. Have them ride Buzz or TTA while everyone else goes on it. It's a huge disappointment IMO and not worth the time to experience it. But sometimes you need to go on it to see why many people like or don't like the ride and then make your own decision. Whatever you choose, have a great trip!!! :wave2:

If you are going to animal kingdom you may also want to skip it great to be a bug as there is one part in it that is bad as well for smell. :sunny:

Thanks indigoxtreme, for the heads up. we have never done ITTBAB, either. Will probably pass on it!! :lmao:

Just another FYI - Stitch is very hard to see in a lot of the show. It gets dark and foggy and all sorts of unknown things are going on. My family and I were very disappointed and will not waste our time in this show again.

(I call it a show because the chairs you sit in do not move, thus you are not riding, right? ;) )
