I would have thought that too but the the poster referred to the duck as "Quakers" three times. So, I don't think it is a typo or misspelling but really the duck's name.

Well actually it is a mistake because I am an idiot..... I am so exhausted. We just got back from a 9 day trip to USA Nationals for Trampoline and Tumbling in VA Beach. I live in South Florida. I drove. Need I say more?! However, since I have shared with everyone else in the world, I need to share with the Dis. My dd got 5th in the Nation in Double Mini----LOL.

Yes it is Quackers. I knew it didn't look right, but I was too tired to care. Believe it or not I am actually the spelling and grammar police according to my friends. They are scared to send me texts!! Guess I will have to send them a link to this thread to tell them someone "got me".

I live on a busy street and every now and then I'll see a squirrel crossing the road. Rather than letting him (or her -- I imagine you can tell the difference; I've never checked.) cross alone and risk getting hit by a car, I will escort the squirrel across the street so the driver can see me. Just my own little service to insure the safety of squirrels in New York City.

Do you have BLACK squirrels in Forest Hills? The first time I ever saw a black squirrel was in here in Washington Square Park. I told my friend there are no such thing as black squirrels. That they are all black from being coated with city soot. I said they all turn grey again when it rains and they get a good shower.
