Hi, I have a dilemma I'm hoping I can get some "expert" advice on. My BF and I have planned an extra long weekend in a value at WDW for mid Sept. to take advantage of the free dining (we LOVE the great restaurants and can't beat the price!) He will be going down a day and 1/2 before me. The room is in his name, me as an occupant. However, I just bought a DVC resale contract which should close in the next couple weeks. The contract comes with '04 points I need to use up. Would it be possible (pending DVC availability) to reserve a DVC unit in my name and keep the room that we already paid for? In essence have him use the room two days until I get there, then stay at a DVC but keep the dining? It honestly would work out cheaper then cancelling the room and using the DDE card for food (like I said we love the great restaurants!) and points for the entire stay. I don't know what I should do.... :confused3

Sounds like an interesting plan if you don't mind double dipping. It does seem a bit redundant for the $35 a day food. You might be money ahead to just rent out those 2004 points and end up with enough to pay your maintenance fees.

Sure - you can reserve a DVC room and keep the value at the same time. Doubt anyone would care or even know. If it works out better for you, I say just doit and don't worry.

Congratulations on the resale!

Best wishes -

Just do it--and welcome to the double dip club, that is renting two hotel rooms for the same night. I have done it a number of times.

Congratulations on your DVC ownership.

Do what ever you want. Enjoy the values now, you'll never go back once you get the DVC bug in you! :goodvibes

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions~!
