Don;t know about the high speed connection. No DVC studio at any on-site resort is equipped with a DVD or VHS.

When we stayed in March my hubby (a true geek) spied around and found the hookups in our room. He called the front desk and they said they were not yet "hooked up." It seems they are working hard to get this ready. By your visit (when?) they may be up and running.

I am not sure I will like this. I hate to think of him doing work Email at WDW!

The connections have been in the rooms quite awhile, but I have not heard if they are working yet.

As for the DVD player in a studio....no. Studios are the 2nd bedroom of 2 bedroom lock off units, so no DVD player. Those are only in the living room.
