I hate shorts and t-shirts! is it just me?

Clearly there are a WIDE range of fashion tastes and styles. Bottom line is wear what YOU like, what makes YOU happy and YOU are comfortable in. As long as your butt, gut and/or nay-nays aren't hanging out it's all good.

Best advice ever! :lmao::thumbsup2

Wear what fells comfortable for you. As long as you have good feet wear flip flops. I would never be able to walk around the parks without a good shoe, so I throw fashion to the wind and wear my trainers. I usually have a extra pr. of shoes for dining.

I couldn't agree more with you! Im a girls girl so I am always more comfortable in dresses, skirts, rompers, and capris than wearing t shirts! I actually feel very uncomfortable and self conscious when I wear t shirt and shorts! :sad1: I'm from LA , and around here sneakers/ gym shoes are strictly for the gym!

Go with what your comfortable in! I know years from now when looking back on these pictures you would regret being in a "t shirt and shorts and sneakers" I understand comfort but sometimes putting a little fashion in comfort wear doesn't hurt!

Just saw this on my Facebook wall and it made me think of this thread. :rotfl:

In the USA-i associate denim shorts on adults as people who watch Nascar, name their car and are hillbillies;):rotfl:

All of my shorts are denim. I've never watched or had any interest in NASCAR, I've never named my car, and I work in Manhattan, where lots of people wear denim shorts. ;)

I thought Disneyland was predominantly a park visited by those from the greater Los Angeles area. We must have hit an unusual week last summer, because there were a great many guests wearing t shirts, shorts and gym shoes with no signs of being self conscious about it. Maybe the locals dropped by on their way home from the gym?

I am the polar opposite of the OP. I wear v-neck tees and shorts every single day of the year. If I had to wear a dress or skirt, I would not be a happy girl. The last time I wore a dress was 1994.

I wear denim shorts and watch Nascar but I have yet to name one of our cars. I feel like such a failure as a hillbilly. But I do like to drink a beer while watching the Nascar race so maybe I can get a couple of hillbilly points for that. ;)

I've never worn skirts or dresses to the parks, only because I'm not personally comfortable in them. I'll wear shorts...denim, khakis, even gym type shorts, depending on the weather and which park we are going to for the day. I want to wear what is going to comfortable for me.

As long as everything on you is covered that should be covered, I don't care what you wear.

I have a lot of denim shorts too. I don't like them on men, personally, but they can be really cute and even fashionable on women.

Well, I don't own any denim shorts, I have never named a car, but I have been known to enjoy a NASCAR race. I'm such a confused hillbilly.

I'm just laughing over the whole denim shorts, Nascar, name my car must be a hillbilly thing. Who knew that a simple pair of denim shorts would mean all that. :rotfl:

Let's see. I've worn denim shorts, would not be caught dead wearing Ralph Lauren (gag). I do not watch Nascar, have never named a car. Based on income I guess we're considered upper middle class :confused3.

DH lives in jeans, t-shirts and sneakers..in the winter he adds a flannel shirt to the mix. His wardrobe has not changed since the day I met him. Me? I wear shorts as long as they are long enough. Have one pair of denim shorts. Do not really wear T-shirts now..but I used to. I like nice tops. I wear sneakers in the parks cause I have crappy feet. I don't do designer anything.

That said, my oldest DD dresses like a fashionista no matter where she goes. She is the designer queen in the family so she takes us out of hillbilly status I guess. I don't think she owns sneakers or denim shorts..of course I don't believe she wears any RL either, but she does wear Ann Taylor.

So after all that..wear what you like, wear whatever makes you happy and comfortable. As long as clothes are clean and cover all the important body parts that's all that matters.

I didn't take an hour off my life and read all the posts, but i will say this...you have to go with what is comfortable and acceptable for you. At WDW you will see it all, the good and bad, but ever judge people by what thier choices of attire are. Me? I would look and feel foolish in any type of dress. Being rather Pooh sized, my legs would stick together and since I do not wear them often, accept ffor church, I could end up with my hem over my head. Also, sneakers are my best friend. They hold my foot steady, I do not have to pay attention to my footing and I never have hot feet. Here in this neck of the woods, everyone wears denim shorts, and every other kind is considered dressy. They went out of style 10 years ago? Michigan must have missed the memo.

Wear what you like.

I do shorts, cute tops (not crew neck t-shirts) and flip flops. Hates sneakers for anything other than exercise because I hate wearing socks and having my feet be all hot.

For evening, I bring a pair of capris, a couple of nicer tops and my beaded flip flops. I wouldn't be opposed to wearing a cute sundress for an evening out but I don't think I'd want to schlep around a park all day in one.

All kinds of people wear denim shorts in Texas. But I suppose that that's no surprise to certain people. :)

I wouldn't wear them at the themeparks only because they're heavy. I prefer lighter cotton when it's hot.

Hey, we're not just hillbillies - we're redneck hillbillies. :rotfl:

BTW, I do wear denim shorts sometimes, but I have never watched NASCAR or named my car. I better get right on that. ;)
