I got my new toy today and for some reason my notebook is too long for my short legs. It's like a kneetop computer.

LOL, my ex used to sing the Short People song to me all the time.

can I join the "IHBS - I Hate Being Short" support group too?

I hate not being able to reach anything in my kitchen cabinets.
:teeth:

My DD is 14 and 4'8"----70 lbs. We are praying she hits 5'. She needs a footstool for her computer class and you know how cruel kids can be... She gets trampled in the hallways daily, and is always mistaken for a 4th ot 5th grade student. She will be a freshman this fall. I feel for you. She is hoping to be able to reach the car pedals for drivers ed when she's 15....heck, she's not even legal to be in the front w/the airbag rules!
Hang in there...if it's any consolation, I hate my jeans always being "floods" and can't use the keyboard tray at my desk as my legs are too long....she and I are quite a sight as I am 5'9"!:p

I know! I hate not being able to reach stuff on top of the fridge without a step stool or calling my BF to come get it for me...

Being short is no fun...

But at least we don't have to worry about hitting our heads all the time, right?

A friend of mine at work has the problem you have. She's 5'10" and she says buying pants that won't draw up after she finds an inseam that's long enough for her is hard. I told her I have to look in the petites and see if I can find the shortest pair of pants, then I hope they do draw up when I wash them so I won't have to trip over them.:p Capris do not look like short pants on me.:o:p My poor dd has the same problem I have.

Well I must be in the minority. I like being short. I'm 5'1.

I'm short too. I'm 13 going into 8th grade and only about 4'10 in the most. I weigh like 81 pounds at least thouhj. It's normal for my size.

Right there with ya! I'm 5'2 and I love myself and my height!:wave2:

Being short is a pain in the "hight" LOL. My cupboards have been lowered so that's great (although I still can't reach the higher ones) but I hate going into stores and of course EVERYTHING is on the top shelf. I really resent sometimes having to ask someone to help me. As for clothes don't ask. I can't buy anything. I am not underweight by a lot (read overweight) as well as being short so there is nothing for me to buy. Going to the gym is " fun", so many of the machines are useless for me.

I hate when my 12 yo (she'll be 13 on the 12th) looks down at me & calls me shorty! She gets such a kick out of it. My 8 yo son's hands & feet are bigger than mine, so I guess he'll call me shorty too. :)

The thing for me is some kids in my grade can be a whole foot taller than me.:earseek: But when I'm at home with my family I'm actually pretty TALL!

Yeah - and if we were taller - we wouldn't look so chunky, either!! ::yes:: (For those who are like me, 5' and branching out all over.....)

I don't have a problem with my pants being too long. ?? But I can get those regular and fit my length.
I really don't mind too much being short. It just makes reaching things a bit of a problem. But, since I am one of the taller ones in my mom's family, I feel pretty lucky. lol

I'm 5'2" and I hate being short. I wish I was at least 5'4" or taller. I'm tired of paying for alterations! At least my three sons are on track to take after my husband- he is 6'2".

I'm 5'6". I think pants were made for my height, they all fit just right in the length. :p :teeth: I wish I was 5'8" though, so I could eat more.:teeth:

:wave2: Another shortie here, I'm only 4'11" and like you browneyes, even the petites are too long :( Gotta love the Liquid Stitch!

I can't say I hate being short though, I just wish I were taller so I could wear regular clothes.
