I needed black pants for Christmas party. Grabbed three pairs from Marshall's picked the one pair I liked best, they were on clearance for $20 originally 110. DD wanted the book "wreck it journal" as a gift for a friend along with chocolate. Target had it on sale for $10, I paid $13 for hers last week at Barnes & Noble. Target had skittles from Halloween 70% off got the biggest bag I could find for DD for Christmas. Got stockings stuffers off the clearance toy rack for 60 cents. I did have to ask the cashier 3 times to charge me for the dog food, and I was the only person in her line. Went to Best Buy they price matched an item got back $37. DD wanted an iTunes gift card for her other friend gift, Best Buy had them $30 worth for $25.50. Decided to grab a sandwich from my favorite place at lunch they gave me a coupon, lunch was only six dollars plus a tip. DS has a concert coming up he is to wear black, long sleeve dress shirt clearance Carson's $12; they had no dress pants in stock. Sears had the black dress pant. $8 clearance for 12 slim, size 12 regular $21.98, the slims are the ones he needs. And when I rotated the tires this AM at Sears they gave me a courtesy front end alignment, I wondered if it was an accident, I told them thanks I appreciated it. In all the stores there were no lines.

What a great day for you. Looks like you scored some great deals!

Isn't it great when things work out so nicely? Thank for sharing, I just took a little zen mini-shopping-trip in my mind reading that... I especially liked the no lines... wish that happened more often!

Sounds like the perfect shopping day!

Certainly much better than the "Everything I want is sold out or I find it way cheaper after I've already bought it!" days:rotfl:

Sorry to be a downer but I would be leary of the alignment. They may have just told you that they did it when in fact they did not. I have heard of the workers at Sears being told not to do things or even to do certain things to a car so that the customer has to come back for more work. If your car is not aligned your tires are going to wear unevenly requiring you to replace them much sooner than you otherwise would have.

If you google sears auto ripoff you will find many complaints about them from various places around the country.

Some garages have lifetime alignments which might be something to look into to save you a good chunck of money as well. Usually for less than the cost of two alignments you can get a lifetime alignment.

I'm glad to see others share my enthusiasm for deals! I got school uniform shorts, plus a couple t-shirts, for my DD at Old Navy last Friday. One pair of shorts and all the shirts were marked 47 cents! I grabbed the shorts, even though they are a size too big, figuring they'd fit in the spring or next fall.

Then I found another rack of the shorts, marked $2.97 I grabbed a couple more pairs. I couldn't figure out why they were a different price, because they were the same style, but $2.97 was still a great price. I got 3 pairs, in each of the next two sizes. When I checked out, the guy asked what the difference was. I said I didn't know, but they were on two different racks. He said, "Well, I have to manually override the prices anyway, so I'll give them all to you for 47 cents." :cool1:

I got 6 pairs of shorts and 5 shirts for $5 and change!

That is awesome!

Those are some great deals!! I have to go try to find some white polos today after work, I'll be searching for an awesome bargain or two like that! lol
I went to World Market yesterday, bought 6 wine glasses and 4 martini glasses (tinted purple which is my favorite color), 2 rocks glasses, 2 stemless wine glasses, a mini flask, a bottle of sparkletini (never tried it but it sounded amazing), all worth about $65-70 and paid $35. :) I thought that was pretty good, especially since the stemless glasses, rocks glasses and mini flask are for gifts. Then I went to the grocery store where I paid $105 but the total before sales, freebies and coupons was $210. :) I got 2 full chickens for roasting, veggies, fruit, pantry staples (canned corn and beans for 88 cents a can, rice mixes for $1 each, mashed potato packets for $1 each etc etc) plus 1 free 2 liter of Pepsi, 1 free bag of Lays chips, 1 free avocado and 1 free dozen eggs. It was crazy fun! lol

I had a great shopping day today too!!! I needed a night stand for my daughters room and I found one that was $299.00 on sale for $99.00 then I had a $15.00 off coupon for the store. :thumbsup2
