I guess this is as good a reason as any to take a foreign language

My soon to be 10th grade son is taking Beginning German next year. My soon to be 9th grade daughter informed me today she wants to take Beg. German next year also. I asked why she chose German and she said she wants to be able to know when her brother calls her stupid!

I can see I missed out on so much by being an only child!

Liz you have no idea what this reminded me of, LOL. When I was learning English back in Spain I asked my teacher ( an American from Ohio ) to teach me a few bad words and of course he said no, what do you need that for ? and I said , ok what if someone calls me stupid and I think it's something nice and say thank you? To this day he still laughs about it and he's been back in the states for almost 18 years now, LOL.
