on our recent trip to WDW, i got to meet several DISers!! i met tc, Beauty, jaypd, Kcritter, Maxie, and one other DISer but i never got his name!!! we were in "the land" gift shop at epcot when this guy approaches us...he asked if we were on the DIS board and i aid yes. he got all excited and said that he recognized us from our picture! he even went back and told his wife (?) that i was on the boards and she got all embarassed and actually told him he was a freak. it was pretty funny! but i forgot to get his name, so if you're out there, let me know who you are!!!!
and Kcritter...we met her coming off of the monorail at the MK. that was pretty funny too cuz she said that she also recognized us from our picture! very nice couple...and they live nearby!
we met tc, beauty, and jaypd, along with their families, on an illuminations cruise. that was very fun! we had a blast!! but sorry that we didn't hang out with everyone afterwards at the boardwalk. we were so exhausted that night! with the wedding earlier that morning and aimlessly wandering through epcot and just not sleeping much the few nights before...we just couldn't take much more!
we also met up with Maxie and her new husband on thursday at pleasure island. we had a good time! we introduced them to the adventurer's club...(kungaloosh! we love that place!!) we then celebrated new year's eve, pleasure island style, and went back in for the final show of the evening at the adventurer's club. we left shortly after that was finished...very long night...but we had fun!
we ran into tc and her husband several times in the MK during our trip! we sat together for the share a dream come true parade at MK and then we ran into them after the fireworks on saturday night at MK. they were lots of fun to talk to! they're trying to twist our arms on the vacation club option...i've almost got him convinced to join!
it was very cool meeting some fellow DISers...we had our lime green ribbon on every day, but never saw anyone else's ribbon
oh well...we tried! we did wimp out of the DIS mini meet before the flag retreat on sept 11...sorry if we missed anyone!!
i'm working on our trip reports now...as soon as they're ready, i'll start posting them!
