Ya - what a combination, right?! :rotfl:

TSM is awesome! We ended up riding it 6 times over the course of the trip. It's my new favorite ride at WDW...used to be Soarin'.

I wanted so bad to get my score on the "high score" board that is at the end of the ride.

Girl you are doing a great job

I am sitting here reading, eating ice cream and I almost spit out in laughter after your woody and buzz comment:lmao:

Then, ya get me with the Brown thing at the bottom of the pool :scared:

Then, ya touch me with the nemo story, so beautifully put:goodvibes

Then, it is like full circle and you crack me up with that instead of going to bathroom and checking your hair, you have your husband take a pic:laughing:

Girl, Keep it uppopcorn::

I figured you would make it sooner or later. Poor sick baby..is she feeling better now?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed larger crowds. I loved the ending of SE!!!

LeCellier used to be my favorite place to eat...something beat it this trip...but it's still one of the best places to eat at WDW in my opinion.

:rotfl: yeah you know me and how i dis lately. It's just so hard to keep up. Lexie seems to be a bit better. Still just bein' lazy and layin' around but she seems more like herself as each day passes. Thanks for asking.

Yeah, it was a little crazy this year.

Oh and what tops it? is it your review of Coral Reef?? I hate fish but your descriptions of the food made me want to go there next time for sure!

I'm so glad you got to ride TSM. That IS the must do ride of WDW now!! I said 2 or 3 times after we got home that I wanted to go to MGM and ride TSM again! We only got to ride it twice :sad2:

Also glad you got to go to Pizza PLanet. I love that place! I wanted to go there this year too but we just didn't have enough time.

I can't believe there was a line for Figment!! And I noticed the line for SE too. We actually had to wait in it. only 15 min but still a lot longer than any wait I've ever had before.

And omg I :lmao: at the fact that Mark took a picture of your head just to prove to you that your cowlick wasn't sticking up. That SO sounds like something Chris would do.

Oh yeah and the P.O.P. I love y'alls meaning for it. But now this solidifies it that I will NEVER ever swim in a public pool ever again!! :scared1: how gross!

Oh yeah (remembered something else) that is great that you were allowed to have that moment of enlightenment when you saw those disabled girls load on the Nemo ride. So sad for them but you are right, something worse could happen than you losing your job. A job is replaceable but some things in health just are not. I'm glad Disney was able to make those girls happy and accomadate them. It's just so great. :thumbsup2

Awesome update. You are moving right along girl! I'm just loving it!

Your writing style is absolutely delightful and infectious. Can't wait to read about your happy endings!

:offtopic:

Just wanted to mention that I just started reading Twilight after being wait-listed at the library. I'm only about half way through, but I can TOTALLY see how Adults are caught up in this story! I'm soooo looking forward to how this story continues AND your trip report of course . . .

OK - Move along folks! Nothing to see here! Back to the Report! :surfweb:

:goodvibes I can't spill the beans on my favorite meal yet...haven't got to it. Coral Reef hopped in the first spot for a few days, then it was overpowered.

Don't ya just love happy endings? Make you feel all warm and squiggly.

Twilight is super addictive. You know the movie comes out November 21st, right? WRITE IT DOWN!!! The third book, "Eclipse" is my favorite. Keep me up to date with your reading progress.:thumbsup2

Great start to your report, I am loving your humour. :thumbsup2

:) Thanks!

I have been working on my resume this morning...trying to make myself sound like the best thing since free disney dining. I am hoping to get an update up this afternoon though.

Thank you to EVERYONE who is reading.

Hey,

Just found this. Sounds and looks great so far.

Sorry about the job situation.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is typically my most favorite thing during our Disney trips. :lovestruc I look forward to it more than anything else! I love the parade, love the fireworks, and I LOVE trick or treating. On MNSSHP days we have learned (the hard way) that it’s best to dedicate yourself to just the party. Otherwise, someone is bound to get cranky and spaz out.:furious:

So we slept in. Think 10:30 sleep in. In Disney. Ya – that’s how we roll.::yes::

The plan for the day was to hit the outlets again to see if the Character Warehouse had anything new, and hit Downtown Disney for a little shopping and people watching before our late lunch reservations at Grand Floridian Café.

I asked one of the cast members at the Warehouse a few years ago when they got their shipments. Supposedly they get new merchandise every day. Well, we didn’t see much new stuff this day. We were, however, able to pick up a shirt for Mark’s brother (who was watching Tori and Mini) and a few more pins for my growing collection.

We then headed to DTD. If anyone ever wants to see a dead Downtown Disney, I strongly encourage visiting on a Tuesday. The place was EMPTY! I have never seen it like that before. I was actually in the Princess room of World of Disney by MYSELF!!! :tiptoe: I picked up a couple pair of really cute earrings, and then we headed back to the room to get traveling Mickey, and ourselves, ready for 1:40 ressies.

This year was the first year that I pre-purchased tickets for the party. The cast member I talked to when I made my ADRs was just so sweet and funny – he talked me right into buying them. I will never do that again. I swear – I gave myself an ulcer worrying about stuff I have absolutely no control over…like weather. I did get a big kick out of getting them in the mail though.

101_0050.jpg

I would pull them out randomly to shake them at Mark and do the “I’m going to Disney dance”. You know the one I’m talking about. The full on spider monkey hyped up on Mountain Dew. :dancer: That was fun.

Every year we take traveling Mickey to the party with us. Last year we actually bought him a little costume that matched with ours. We were all three pirates. pirate It got a good bit of attention from the cast members, so I decided to do it again this year. Want some photographic proof that I have no real life?

I preferred Stitch, Mark preferred Buzz. Since I picked the Pirate last year, we went with Buzz. Mickey didn’t have much of an opinion.

Originally, we were going to wear World of Warcraft shirts that I made, but I’m still not comfortable with the full extent of my nerdiness.:3dglasses

The plan was to each lunch painfully slow at the GF, then head over to MK for early party entry at 4:00.

I was very excited to be eating in the Grand Floridian. I’d never visited the hotel before, and my expectations were extremely high.

Let me tell you – sour grapes are a dish best served cold. As soon as I walked in, I was hatin’. I saw a stain on the carpet, and had to comment….”if I were paying X number of dollars to stay here I would blah blah blah blah.” Other comments included “What’s so special about this place?” and “I prefer the Pop.” Classic case of sour grapes. :sad2: In actuality, the place is beautiful. The staff was very nice, and I would love the opportunity to stay there one day. However, I know the chances of that happening reside somewhere between slim and none.:o

Mickey let me know very quickly that I shouldn’t hate the player, but hate the game. He loved it…and made himself right at home.

101_0065.jpg

Mark and I discovered that he secretly wants to be in a jazz band.

101_0062.jpg

Mickey also got to ride his first ride of the night….

101_0063.jpg

We made our way to the Grand Floridian Café for lunch. This restaurant was very quaint. We were seated right by a window and were able to do some unexpected people watching. Score.

101_0057-1.jpg

For lunch I ordered the steak:

101_0058-1.jpg

Yes – it was as good as it looks. Cooked perfectly. That plate was VERY clean by the time I was done. I say any place that gives you a butter knife to cut your steak with is very confident in their steak cooking capabilities.

Mark had the GF Burger:

101_0059-1.jpg

Mark surprised me again here. I thought he was going to go for the steak. When he ordered the burger, our server’s eyes got really, really big….all she could get out was “MAN – that’s a good burger.” It was pretty funny to witness. It lived up to the hype too. It was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted and Mark still raves about it. This was also the first time either of us have eaten asparagus, and we both liked it.

For dessert, we both had the fondue:

101_0060-1.jpg

I really liked this too. The chocolate was nice and hot, so it didn’t cool too quickly. The fruit was very fresh, and sweet. My favorite was probably the marshmallows though.

We paid, tipped, and rolled out of that restaurant. I really had to take a potty break, so I headed into the bathrooms that are located outside of the GFC. This became the birthplace of the TP WARS.

To give you a little background – Mark and I are TP snobs. :snooty: We’ve noticed through our travels that most hotels/restaurants/theme parks tend to use the cheapest TP money can buy. We’ve also noticed that eating rich food that you are not used to tends to wreck your stomach and make you use massive amounts of the aforementioned cheap TP. This is not a good combination. Things get a little irritated.…let’s just say it’s not pretty and leave it at that. To solve this problem, Mark and I always bring TP from home when we travel. Cottonelle to be specific. :thumbsup2

At the Pop, it was no surprise for us to find said cheap TP on the roll, with extra supplies on the back of the toilet. We simply smiled at each other and broke out our special stock. Well – at the Grand Floridian, guess what was waiting for me on the roll? Angel Soft. With nice decorative flowers and everything. This made me giggle pretty loud, and I know the other guests in the bathroom finished quickly to escape the crazy person who would soon be exiting my stall. I also found quality TP at The Polynesian, and The Contemporary – BUT the cheap stuff resides at the boat dock outside of The Contemporary for any posers that want to fake the Contemporary funk. I guess the message is, pay for a deluxe and Disney will give you deluxe TP. :lmao: I honestly can’t remember what we had when we stayed at The Wilderness Lodge, and we didn’t get to visit on this trip.

We still had a good bit of time to burn, so we looked around in the gift shop for a bit, and then hopped on the monorail for a while. I lost count of how many times we rode the monorail around the resort line. We had a seat, and it was air conditioned, so we really didn’t care.

101_0055.jpg

When it was closer to 4:00, we hopped off at the TTC and took some pictures of Mickey in all his glory.

101_0067.jpg

101_0068.jpg

We decided to take the ferryboat across for the view that I love so much. Mickey liked it at first…

101_0070.jpg

But then he got a little seasick…

101_0071.jpg

We entered the park at 4:15 pm. Perfect. That’s the art of ticket maximization.

It’s hard to describe the feeling I get when I enter the park for MNSSHP. It’s a mix of anxiety, love, anticipation, and sheer joy. This party is worth every penny extra it cost, and if it wasn’t for my job situation, we were actually going to do it twice this trip.

Mickey really wanted a balloon, but they were a little too expensive…he settled for a picture instead…

101_0072.jpg

The park was a little crowded, but we figured it would clear out after 7:00, when the non-party goers were asked to leave. Speaking of that, I felt a little bad for a little family we sat behind on the tram from the MK parking lot to the TTC. It was the last night of their trip, and they were coming to MK special to see Wishes that night. When the co-pilot (or whatever the person who rides the back of the tram is called) announced the park would be closing at 7:00, they were very disappointed. :guilty:

We were able to do some trick-or treating, and ride several rides including:

The Haunted Mansion

101_0079.jpg

TTA

101_0077.jpg

Pirates

101_0084.jpg

Philharmagic

101_0078.jpg

And Buzz

101_0075.jpg

I love the Haunted Mansion during the party. The cast members put on makeup and get more into it than they usually are. Plus, it seems like this ride improves after dark for some reason.

101_0089.jpg

I realized the one true drawback to falling in love with Toy Story Mania that night. It utterly and completely ruined Buzz’s Space Ranger Spin. After TSM, Buzz just seems kind of lame. We still rode a bunch of times though, and Mark continued to dominate. :headache: Unacceptable.

I noticed this year that instead of park specific popcorn containers, they were all using special dated Halloween ones. I thought they were really cute, and just had to have one. Mickey really just wanted the contents, and could care less about the container.popcorn::

101_0088.jpg

The first parade was scheduled to start soon, so we made our way towards Frontier Land to find a good spot. We prefer to see the parade from that end so the performers are fresh and excited. We learned last year that the guide map actually suggests that people stay to watch the second parade, so most people do. - thus making the second parade MORE CROWDED!

I know a lot of people have commented on the headless horseman, and I really don’t have much to add on his magnificence. He gives me chill bumps every time. I tried to snag a picture, but I have an el cheapo camera that is not conducive for good pictures.

My pitiful attempt:

101_0094.jpg

The parade was great as usual..

I have the party music cd with the Boo To You parade music on it, so I have the whole thing memorized. I sing like a three year old through the whole parade, thoroughly annoying anyone around me. It also has the Villains Mix and Mingle music on it, so we made our way to the front of the park to watch that.

LOVE IT!

This year, the villains didn’t come down to mingle after each show - only after the 10:00 show, which was new….I think.

During the parade, we noticed that it was pretty crowded, but it’s hard to judge crowds in a parade environment, so we wrote it off. For the Villains MaM, it was pretty nuts…but again, we wrote it off.

We made our way to our Hallowishes viewing spot, and got settled in. We met a great couple that was visiting from Canada. It was their first time at the party, therefore their first time seeing the fireworks. I talked them up the best I could, but no amount of talking can do these fireworks justice. :worship: Again, I know the music by heart, so I am happily singing along when I notice they skipped a piece. I don’t know what happened, but the whole “Mr. Crocodile” segment just didn’t happen. :confused3 Oh well…no biggie.

We always find it best to pick a spot and stand after every fireworks show to allow the crowd to disperse. We pretty much stayed put, and waited..and waited…and waited…and waited. The crowd was THICK!!! :crowded: We finally gave up and started making our way around the park. Waits that were 5-10 minutes earlier were up to 40 minutes. It was crazy. Oh well, there was only about an hour left until park closing, so we just decided to call it a day. What a great day it was!

OMG Mickey's costumes were so darned cute!!!!! :worship:

I've never seen a burger like that! It looked incredible!

Update was excellent :thumbsup2

We got them from Build a Bear. Want to know the depth of my obsession with Mickey's outfits? The neareast BaB is about 2 hours from us. Yep. :rotfl:

That burger was AWESOME! GFC is on our list of "must do's" for the next trip, just for that burger. In that sauce, are chunks of LOBSTER!!!!

Thanks for the complement! :)

Another great update

I love your Mickey Costumes:goodvibes

Looks like Mickey had a great time:rotfl:

I can not wait to go to MNSSHP:woohoo:

I am loving this report! You guys are so much fun. I can't wait for more!

Thanks. :goodvibes I am hoping to get another update up today, before the weekend. I tend to have less time to write on the weekends. How does that happen? :confused3

Thanks! Mickey always gets a good bit of attention from the cast members, and from other guests.

MNSSHP is an absolute blast!! I can't say enough about it. The parade and fireworks are worth the price of admission.

Your getting close now....:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I've visited your PTR on the CB....There's a lot going on there! :rotfl2:
